I was not at the game last night, but I am curious about the new board. I have read a few posts on other blogs, including DMN, where folks were saying they couldn't find down and distance, timeout, stats, etc. that would normally be on a scoreboard.
Does the scoreboard actually provide game related info between plays or is it nothing more than a big TV monitor? Seems to me that the scoreboard has great potential to be exceedingly informative, as well as show game action at the same time by sectioning it off. Just curious if anyone who was there could shed some light.
I have taken a tour of the new place it is cool, but not as cool as I thought it would be. It reminds me of a hockey/basketball arena vibe - on a massive scale. The really neat amenities are not something most of us will get to experience...the average fan doesn't get as much bang for the buck as I had hoped they would. Beyond wider corridors, AC, nicer bathrooms and a new car smell, it doesn't seem like the $1billion gets Joe Fan a whole lot of improvement over most other stadiums out there.
