PrintThe Cowboys will be without rookie linebacker Brandon Williams for the rest of the season because of a torn ACL, according to Tim McMahon of the Dallas Morning News.
Williams was expected to help on special teams and add depth at outside linebacker on the strong side behind Anthony Spencer.
This is the second rookie Dallas has lost for the season; tackle Robert Brewster, taken in the third round, is out with a torn pectorals muscle.
The Cowboys weren't expecting a huge impact from a their rookie class, but the losses will test their depth.
"This kid had a chance to play some plays," said coach Wade Phillips. "I guess he'll just have to do it next year."
