Some thoughts from a long time lurker
1. I am loving the fact that the biggest Cowboys story in the national media is about a scoreboard!
I really want to thank both the Iggles and Vikes for sucking the media circus away from Valley Ranch.
2. I am watching closely to see how both teams handle the media dogging their every step, and now I read that there will be pro Vick rallies at the Jags game Thursday night. Welcome to the spotlight, Iggles. Enjoy.
3. With the off season tragedy of their training facility collapsing, and coaches and players being hurt, it makes me wonder if the players have formed a stronger bond due to the adversity they faced together.
4. Anyone getting the feeling of its "Us vs the World, and the World says we have no chance"? I love it.
5. I am looking forward to a team that doesn't have "swagger", but a pair of brass knuckles to punch other teams in the mouth with.

All good thoughts.
I dont understand all of the talk about a scoreboard. If you can get a man to walk on the moon, Im prettty sure the technology is there to raise a scoreboard.
I have been to about 5 other blogs and they all seem to be happy about a reason to talk about us. They want to stick it to us and JJ.
When i saw Cards and Indys new stadiums I was excited for them and the league. They are nice and look good on TV. The fact that these other teams held their cities hostage for their stadiums and JJ put up a truck load of his own money for his seems to get lost. I cant wait to go to a game there. If I win the lottery look out cause I’ll have a suite to live there for a year.
I find the harder I work, the luckier I get. Thomas Jefferson
Its not about anybodys money on all of these blogs.
They just want another reason to take shots at us. Has there ever been something this big thats brand new that didnt have a few kinks to work out.

Good thoughts Jason
Glad you decided to stop lurking and share.
I agree on every point. I find it somewhat humorous that the biggest negative story the MSM have been able to cover is the new scoreboard height.
Training Camp '09 = Mega Thunder Dome....80 men enter, 53 men leave.
+1

Good post Jason,
welcome. Hope to hear more from you. Oh yea if you see Terry post tell him Romo sucks would you?
I agree with your points
I can’t stand hearing “Brett Fart this and Brett Fart that” every time I put my radio on (I barely even watch ESPN),
but I’m glad to have all that attention directed at Minn. and GB.
Oh, and TO decides he wants a reality show?? Thank goodness he didn’t get that while he was in Dallas. Can you imagine? It would have gotten a lot more play.
Thanks guys
This site is pretty much what kept me going thru the long, long off season.
I am ready for the show to begin!
that which doesn't kill you, probably hurts like hell.
My favorite part

What I find funny is
the Boys are loaded, but they’ll never win with TO, Pacrat, Tank, et al. Too many distractions, you know. Now Jerry gives them what they want, the circus leaves town and all the sudden the Boys aren’t good anymore. Make up your mind, MSM! Glad I figured out a while ago that most of you are morons.

Never thought about it that way. I guess this is much less media exposure than usual for the Cowboys.
2. I am watching closely to see how both teams handle the media dogging their every step, and now I read that there will be pro Vick rallies at the Jags game Thursday night. Welcome to the spotlight, Iggles. Enjoy.
Mwahahaha
3. With the off season tragedy of their training facility collapsing, and coaches and players being hurt, it makes me wonder if the players have formed a stronger bond due to the adversity they faced together.
That would be nice wouldn’t it? The players say that is what happened…
4. Anyone getting the feeling of its “Us vs the World, and the World says we have no chance”? I love it.
It feels more to me like Us vs the Eagles more than anything else, haha :P But yeah, even Troy Aikman ranks the motherhumping Eagles above the Cowboys. I see the Cowboys as a very possible sleeper threat. The team no one will see coming.
5. I am looking forward to a team that doesn’t have “swagger”, but a pair of brass knuckles to punch other teams in the mouth with.
Definitely agree!
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
Nice post

Aikman also said “I have to handicap it this way, the Eagles were in the division championship and the giants won the division.” No one actually makes a prediction they just go off what they saw the year before and that irritates me to no end.
I would like to point out to the world the mighty Eagles were 2-4 in the division and were only a playoff team because of a miraculous end to the season. The two teams the Eagles beat in tghe East were the Cowboys the last game of the season and I think the Cowboys had already packed for the playoffs and the Giants without Plax.
All that being said I am very happy with this team, I think most Cowboy fans are.

Amen brother
All that being said I am very happy with this team, I think most Cowboy fans are.
I hope this season will prove that 2008 was an aberration, and that they will get back to the fun they had in 2007.
that which doesn't kill you, probably hurts like hell.
It was fun watching the starters against Tennessee
Fun unlike most anything from the ’08 season. That game made me realize I had forgotten how much fun this team can be to watch.
Arrgh I want the regular season to start NOW!
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
Amen to all those points... my favorite was definitely #2 because that was my reaction after they signed Vick
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
