Just learned about this from a friend and fellow Cowboy fanatic. . Although I don't agree with all the conclusions, it is a welcome in-depth look from what appears to be a knowledgeable source. I'd be very interested in some of the BTB regulars take on their observations.

One clear conclusion, The Boys are decidedly perceived as a 'middle of the pack' team by most prognosticators. While their talent is noted, their weaknesses are equally so. I get the sense a lot of these same authors got burned by an underachieving team last year(didn't we all !)and are (hopefully)overcompensating with this years predictions.

I actually like the idea of a team that hasn't had playoff success lie DAL, earning its respect, rather than having it granted to them the way so many did last year(including me). I hope all of this gives the '09 Cowboys some edge, and a sense of common purpose that was not at all evident last season

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
