Defense is terrible
O line is getting owned.
Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig loves it.
They have a solid o-line
with one of the better young LT’s.
I live 2 hours from tampa so all i get is tampa football around here............
and i have to say that there oline is that good. That is there bread and butter. Has been for a couple of years now.

horrific.
Seriously. I hate Garrett. Why did we even bother drafting him.
this game will resemble the rest of the season
we aren’t going to blow people out.
We are going to have to battle

I like him a little better than Mike Jenkins.
I haven’t forgiven Jenkins for the “olay” against Ward last season.
not being tested when in the game, will start next week and every week after

My thinking...if we don't press and make a boneheaded play...we win this game.
Just don’t try to do too much…
great
I have noticed a new resurgence in Cowboy hating in 2007, which can only mean one thing- We're back.
There is some hyperbole to be sure
but this defense has by and large, not looked very good. Especially considering the offenses we face in the East.
there's a HUGE gap between "not stopped anything" ... and "not looked very good"

ew. alan ball is out there.
I mean, I guess it would just be a guy who you know, grabs bananas and runs. Or, um, a banana that grabs things. I don’t know. Why would a banana grab another banana? I mean, those are the kind of questions I don’t want to answer.

it is ingrained
This is a team that has broken some hearts over the last 4 or 5 years…and a lot of time bad D has been at the center of it.
if we shut them down here
I think we all would be pretty surprised. I put teh chances (with our run D) at about 10% lol

after all, the giants d looked terrible early in 2007 and they won the trophy

This is bad...
If Dallas doesn’t score another touchdown, our defense will almost certainly give up the winning score in a 21-20 upset.
It is up to the offense to manufacture some pointsin this next drive.

Longest completion of Romo’s career!

2009 New York Jets: 11-5
not really
we got the large majority of our big play tds from around midfield.
What just happened? Didn't I predict this earlier?

About as sloppy a blowout as I’ve ever seen, but I’ll take it.
Things I liked: Big plays and few penalties.
Things I didn’t like: defense, running game.
the running game averaged 5.0 yards per rush
lack of run attempts maybe, but you can’t complain with that average…I’m not watching the game so maybe it was lack of execution in the key moments, but the average is good

Question. Did we not run it much because of the way
the Bucs chose to play us. If they think like ESPN and much of the country, that Romo and the Cowboys offense has no chance in the passing game they might have loaded the box and played the short passing game tight(er)
This seems to be the case from reading comments . can Dallas make plays if they cheat on us. The yanswer fron Austin,Roy, and Crayton is an emphatic YES!!
Dont worry about our D. Wade will fix it.

Dallas should of blown this team off the field
Tampa is a subpar team undergoiung a complete overhaul, they’ll be lucky to win six games at the most and they dominated the game in time of possession, and running the ball.
Tampa had three blown coverages that cost them big on defense..
Dallas plays like this next week, they’ll be blown off the field by the giants. This defense allowed 450 yards… what’s is there to enjoy!!!!!!
450 yards between the 20s doesn't mean much
but the sky is falling you can reach up and grab it if you want

the perfect undefeated record?
Dallas beat a sub par team by two TDs
OMG

Deke, Deke, Deke...
you should beat subpar teams, what part of that don’t you understand
… uh, we DID beat them, which part of THAT don’t you understand?
… At THEIR house… in THEIR opener (they played tough)… with THEIR solid O-Line… with Leftwich playing a career game… with little / no footage for preparation … with GREAT defensive adjustments after the first quarter … with their stats padded by our late prevent D… with our Offense getting quick strikes that skew time of possession stats…
… and with a 20 point lead late in the 4th, what part of “blow them off the field” did you miss? Or was it the solid black glasses?

yeah, but I bet they don't allow 450 yard of total offense like a spare offense inTampa did against the cowboys
I don't see yards on the score board
34-14 when it matters says good defense

so in your infinite knowledge about football
a subpar team that puts up 450 yard of offense doesn’t mean much…….If that happens next week, I want you to tell me that next week
players for the Bucannears collect salaries too
Leftwhich, Winslow, Bryant, many members of the Bucs Oline, Dline. CB, Cadillac Williams, were all high picks right
This isn’t NCAA Div 2

Redskins D and Giants D giving up big runs...
… hmmm… Giants have a GREAT D… wondering… our D gave up some early runs… so are we great too?

making a difference early for redskins
some of you should go back and read your comments and slap your own hand........
about how garrett sucks. Geezzzz. 34 points isnt good enough. Shame on you. Learn not to let your emotion of the current play set the tone for your mind for the entire game. Ah hell, never mind, who the hell am i to tell anyone how to watch a game. Screw it. As long as we win i really dont give a crap how it happens.
+1
The Bucs completely shut down our running attack, so Garrett and Romo said fine, we’ll just shred your secondary for 350 with 3 tds.
I’m betting our rushing attack and D look alot better next wk against the gnats(crossing fingers and knocking wood while enjoying a celebratory shot of ice-cold Jagermeister ;)
The hell? The Bucs completely shut down our running attack. Wait a minute, let me get the stats. 118 yards for the running game, but that’s because we finally started to attack a weak TB secondary, instead of insulting Jason Garrett, he should be getting praise for setting up those plays that gave the cowboys those long TDs.
then the Tampa defense gets the praise
Because it was their defense that completely broke down that allowed those long plays, not the play calling
how bout giving garrett some credit...
for coming up with a scheme to confuse ad exploit their cover 2.
Asking Deke to be objective? that's giving HIM way too much credit ...

good win..
not great, but good…
i hardly felt that ‘the sky was falling’ for most of that game, but the Bucs did give us more trouble than i thought they would.
the fist game is just that the FIRST game, still some kinks to work out etc… however, we did show that having a kick off specialist is a GREAT move, that we can get the ball to a bunch of weapons, and that our D still needs a little tuning…
the Giant game will be a good test, however they, like us, did not really take care of a team i thought they would handle easily……
