Week 2: The Dallas offense against the Giants defense
Dallas was exposed most of last year with a soft middle, making it a bullseye to run up the gut. This year, after one only one game, it looks like that trend will continue. The problem was two fold with small LB play and Ratliff being as small as he is. Dallas signed Brooking to add some size to the LB group. One element is still, I say STILL missing. A big, run stuffing, real 3-4 DT is needed. Let Ratliff take over on 3rd downs for the rush. Play him as a DE the rest of the time, but I degress.
The Giants have a better front defensive 7 than Dallas does. Other than Ware they have better personel. Dallas' offense needs to out perform the Giants offense. The Giants are going to try to control the ball with the run and should have some success with it, running up the middle with Jacobs. That will set up the play action for a few strikes downfield. They will score on Dallas' defense no question. The question is, can Dallas score more points than Eli & Co. against a tough Giants defense? I see Dallas playing man to man with these young receivers and moving Gerald Sensabaugh up closer to the line of scrimmage. Stop the run. Make Eli beat you with these young receivers.
I dare you Eli, Ware was denied his weekly QB and is hungry this week!

They're going to have to do much better than last week.
I can’t stand Brandon Jacobs. I hope the Boys can shut his fat mouth with a mouthful of Cowboy Stadium turf.
"It takes a big man to cry, but it takes an even bigger man to laugh at that man."
Tony Romo in the pocket
Well, a disappointing defensive performance last week, however an outstanding offensive performance. It makes me laugh when Brandon Jacobs said that "if you keep Tony Romo in the Pocket then he isn’t that effective. Tell me then, which one of those big plays did Romo even get outside of the tackle box? None of them, that is how many. In fact I don’t remember him stepping “outside the pocket” on virtually any of the passes that he completed. Hopefully we see improvement from our defense this week, but Giants better prepare for our Offense. If we find a way to contain their D-line (would easily be done by doing a no huddle offense and not allowing them to substitute which is where their strength is, in depth) then I see us running all over the Giants since their D-Line is the ONLY THING THEY HAVE DEFENSIVELY.
Tony Romo off in dat hole, Watch roll and watch him throw, Watch him lead dem cowboys to the super bowl, now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys!

Actually I'm inclined to believe
it’s their secondary that’s gonna suffer along with their LBs. I don’t think they can cover all of our weapons and we will hurt them with the pass. This may be Bennets’ or Wittens’ biggest game.
One of the Giants CB's is injured
Their number two guy, I think. So Romo will just throw to the lame duck backup.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
They ALWAYS struggle to cover witten
Add in Bennet, and yea i think thats gonna create some major mismatches.
I think their secondary is well equipped, but a little short on depth now without Ross.
Pro Bowl Factory
I am inclined to differ. I dispise the Giants, but I give credit no matter what team if it has talent. The Giants have a very good secondary to back up their 7 men up front on defense. That secondary is young and is another year seasoned. Romo will get his too, the Dallas offense should be able to score as well. It will be harder for Dallas to score this week. These Giants won’t blow as many assignments leading to easy scores like last Sunday. Dallas needs to put up some points next Sunday and not let the Giants get into a running rythym. The Giants have a better ball controlling Offense. Dallas has better quick strike ability. This will be a nail biting but fun game to watch.

K Phillips, 2nd year Safety is solid and getting better
However, their CB’s are suspect, especially with Ross out. Their D Line is the best in football, but their LB’s are a little over rated(watches Pierce trail B Westbrook down the field).
Agree NY won’t blow assignments like TB, but remember it was game-planning and deliberate mismatches that created those. It may come down to scheme-with a Rookie DC vs Garrett
The 7th Rule of "Fight Club": Fights will go on as long as they have to.
Aaron Ross being out will be a difference maker
Garrett/Romo will be throwing the football at Ross’s replacement and could be a big factor come Sunday. I don’t believe their LB’s are too over rated. They aren’t DWare or JHarrison but the are a very good, solid group.
FYI, every LB trails B Westbrook down the field.

their linebackers aren't "overrated"
I haven’t heard many positive things about them.
