Matt Jones has been contacted by Cowboys, according to agent
After five weeks of discussions, the Tennessee Titans are bringing free-agent wide receiver Matt Jones in for a visit Thursday.
Tennessee has been searching for a veteran receiver since before the NFL draft. It has explored any number of options, but the one it is zeroing in on now seems to be Jones.
Jones' agent, Alan Herman, also has been in contact with the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears regarding Jones, but the Titans are the team that is acting fastest.

While I would love to sign Jones
I just cant see where he would fit on the roster unless we keep 6 WRs, which I doubt we will.

If we were planning on 6 WRs anyway...
Sub in Jones for Stanback…BOOM! Instant upgrade.

Yes
But this was a move that should have been made before camp. It made just as much sense to do it then and get him the reps with Romo.
