After being declared an every down player as a result of an excellent training camp, it now appears that Burnett will share time with Tim Dobbins at inside linebacker, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Burnett has struggled a bit out of the gate, and Dobbins has played well, so the Chargers are planning to use both players liberally. "I think it's pretty good," said head coach Norv Turner of the rotation. "Burnett plays an awful lot on special teams, Dobbins is a physical player. So it's something we'll continue to talk about."

Well he ended up in the same position as he would have had if he stayed in dallas.
At least he got somewhat of a shot.
