What Jerry REALLY bought for $1.1 Billion...
Great article at another site about what Jerry's getting for his money...haven't seen anyone else point it out.

Wow. Take a look at that picture. I mean, can you imagine how big that thing is in a real life look? It is huge.
It isn’t a surprise that Jerry Jones had to shake the change from his pockets to build this baby. It should be called the 8th wonder of the world. He spent over a billion dollars on this magnificent stadium.
But why?
Why did Jerry Jones spend so much money to replace a stadium that wasn’t near ‘condemned’ level?
Well, you could say many things. It depends on how you see Jerry Jones really.
One could say that Jerry Jones is a monstrosity of the NFL because he fired Tom Landry and took over the Dallas Cowboys. One could also say that he realized that Tom needed to retire because he just had made a 3-13 season.
One could say that Jerry Jones built this stadium to show off his money, and a shrink might say as a substitute for his masculinity. The other side would argue that Texas Stadium was getting old, and Jerry Jones wanted to make a stadium worthy of arguably. the greatest NFL franchise of all time.

But
Danny Clark said it wasn’t loud …….

Trust me......IT WAS LOUD
I was 9 rows from the field and it was definitely loud….and that was with the roof and windows open….Imagine if they were closed

JJ built it to get the Super Bowl to come to Dallas, that's the only reason he needed

Jerry Jones has done many questionable things...
But replacing Tom Landry with Jimmy Johnson when he did it was not one of them. That move did result in 3 Super Bowl championships a half a decade later.
Now they way in which he did it… That’s another story.
The 2009 Dallas Cowboys: Talk to me in December.
The NFC East has won 11 Super Bowls; oddly none of those have come courtesy of the Eagles.

Wrong Answer...
Only one reason: EGO…but I wonder how he feels now that there were hundreds of frustrated fans throwing beer bottles at the entrance door as it closed on them before the Giants game. Nice job, Jerry. Keep up the great PR and the lousy product on the field and we’ll see how many fans will be high-fiving you in your box.

hate or jealousy?
alot of people out there have more money than they really need or know what to do with. they also seem to spend it on stuff they dont need or that is probably costs them money maintaining.
however, JJ built a stadium that seats and please thousands of people and makes him money and gets him glory.
most of ya’ll say it like you wouldn’t do the same thing or make it sound like a bad idea. hes done something great and that actually is good for fans and the cowboys … but yet … ppl still hating on him. hate him for being involved, but not for the stadium

Business...plain and simple
Just building this stadium increased the value of the franchise. The Cowboys are now clearly the most valuable franchise in NFL and arguably all of sports. Many say Manchester United is number one in value with the Cowboys second.
