Should Be Some Interesting Games

Eagles are really shorthanded, although one would think they should take the Chiefs at home.

Also very interested in Jets-Titans and Patriots-Falcons. The AFC seems to be slipping after a decade of dominance. Is that for real? We’ll see…

Now I get to go back to linear programming and probability distributions homework for the rest of the day. Let me know how the games go…

If you told me...

before the season started that the only 2-0 vs. 2-0 matchup in week 3 would be Niners vs. Vikings, I would have laughed at you.

In all fairness

the Vikings open the season today. They’ve had six pre-season games this year.

if the giants have fixed there run defense against a team that gashed us in week 1.

and don’t give them more credit than they deserve because they ran all over us. They can’t when there pass defense is nonexistent. I told you guys worst team in the league!

If this was the end of the season, then we would need him and he would probably be the barbarian. But it’s a long season, and ’twould be best to get him healthy.

I'm beginning to agree

both of the last two weeks, they’ve gone down big early, which has limited their run game. But the bigger issue when you compare our games to theirs (Buffalo, NYG) is that we got no pressure, and Leftwich picked us apart.

Also, our offense performance does not look nearly as impressive when you consider that we had to score on big plays and the Bills and GIants just ran straight through them

Report: Barber needs ‘miracle’ to play on MNF

Marion Barber (quadriceps) needs a “miraculous” recovery to play on Monday Night Football, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.
Barber sat out Sunday’s pre-game walkthrough, indicating that the Cowboys are game planning to be without him. Expect Felix Jones to start against Carolina and play in a rotation, with Jones getting most of the goal-line work. Barber isn’t seriously injured and figures to return for Week 4 at Denver. Plethora of RBs

Choice should start, while getting Felix 15-20 touches all over the field, special teams included. I’m just worried about Felix’s durability. In my opinion Choice last year against much better defenses looked like a better overall RB than Felix or Barber. More durable, always gets positive yardage, good pass blocking, deceptive speed. Should be the starter all along with Barber closing.

Ya, umm…. whatever that was supposed to mean, I will just have to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Now if someone wanted to intelligently discuss what they think this years Bronco team has in common with last years, THAT could be a good conversation. Just sayin…

I have a good friend who was a Brownies fan. I watched their preseason games when Brady was a rookie. Quinn looked like he would amount to something, but they don’t even look like an NFL team now. Wonder if Mangini will survive. They just don’t have any talent besides the OL.

10 Quick Observations from today's games:

1) Every NFC West team lost: SF, SEA, STL, ARI
2) Every NFC North team won: MIN, GB, CHI, DET

3) Mike Vick showed me nothing, but Kolb brought his “A” game
4) WAS is worse than what I thought, and I’m lovin’ it

5) Farve got lucky
6) SF converted zero of 11 on 3rd-down

7) NOR looks “for real”
8) Every AFC division has both 1) An undefeated team 2) A winless team

9) PIT has lost 2 in a row and I couldn’t be happier
10) T. Owens caught zero balls

Arizona and Warner caught lightning in a bottle last year in the playoffs, I see them finishing around 8-8.

The Saints will be there in the playoffs.
