Should Be Some Interesting Games
Eagles are really shorthanded, although one would think they should take the Chiefs at home.
Also very interested in Jets-Titans and Patriots-Falcons. The AFC seems to be slipping after a decade of dominance. Is that for real? We’ll see…
Now I get to go back to linear programming and probability distributions homework for the rest of the day. Let me know how the games go…
If you told me...
before the season started that the only 2-0 vs. 2-0 matchup in week 3 would be Niners vs. Vikings, I would have laughed at you.
"Well, we didn't block real good but we made up for it by not tackling."

In all fairness
the Vikings open the season today. They’ve had six pre-season games this year.

It will be interesting to me to see
if the giants have fixed there run defense against a team that gashed us in week 1.
won't know Bucks are one dementenional
and don’t give them more credit than they deserve because they ran all over us. They can’t when there pass defense is nonexistent. I told you guys worst team in the league!
to be fair about the bucs..
We gave everyone tape on them…we had none..

Can we start a Detroit Lions fan club on here today? Just for one day? I will be the first member. Whose with me?
I Feel Sorry for Lions
So consider me a charter member. Especially against the Redskins. Especially when I live in DC.
this week i was a lions fan...whooohooo.
Best move the redskins ever made was firing shottenhiemer…

THANK GOD....
We have enough good RB to make sure he’s healthy of the rest of the season….no need to make that injury linger
I agree.
If this was the end of the season, then we would need him and he would probably be the barbarian. But it’s a long season, and ’twould be best to get him healthy.

This is the game to find out what Felix can bring throughout a whole game, using Choice on 3rd and a few series here and there.

Titans Going Down Fast
Jets score on opening drive, Titans fumble ensuing kickoff. Jets driving again. Could be a long season for Tennessee. They lost three games all last year.
Kicking game karma is still haunting the Titans

Wait till ware's contract gets done...will you say that then?
"Well, we didn't block real good but we made up for it by not tackling."
- John McKay, the first coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
so you're willing to lose him?
do 2 games cancel out 4 years?…
Ware WILL be the highest paid defensive player in the league, I bet….whether it be by us or someone else.
Not paying him would be a huge, potentially franchise altering mistake
Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth was carted off the field in the second quarter Sunday with an apparent ankle injury.
Haynesworth could put no weight on his right leg and he was assisted to the cart. He left the field in a ton of pain with a towel over his head, in obvious disappointment. We are pretty sure that it’s a serious injury. Sep. 27 -
Sugar ... water .... and, of course, purple.
I'll oblige-That Tampa game should be a red flag.
Sure we stopped the run last week, but then-no pass D!
I’m afraid this may be about talent more than ‘scheme.’ If Wade blitzes and goes for pressure, can this secondary hold up?
Wonder if we’ll see press/man-man this week….Everyone here calls for it, but I’m not so sure the two young guys are up to it-or even Newman for that matter!
by Realist Larry on Sep 27, 2009 1:42 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm beginning to agree
both of the last two weeks, they’ve gone down big early, which has limited their run game. But the bigger issue when you compare our games to theirs (Buffalo, NYG) is that we got no pressure, and Leftwich picked us apart.
Also, our offense performance does not look nearly as impressive when you consider that we had to score on big plays and the Bills and GIants just ran straight through them
"...Leftwich picked us apart."
That statement is offensive.
how did u know raf?
That bulger would get hurt and boller would come in and throw 2 tds in the first half?

Report: Barber needs ‘miracle’ to play on MNF
Marion Barber (quadriceps) needs a “miraculous” recovery to play on Monday Night Football, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.
Barber sat out Sunday’s pre-game walkthrough, indicating that the Cowboys are game planning to be without him. Expect Felix Jones to start against Carolina and play in a rotation, with Jones getting most of the goal-line work. Barber isn’t seriously injured and figures to return for Week 4 at Denver. Sep. 27 – 2:12 pm et
Source: Jay Glazer on Twitter
Plethora of RBs
Choice should start, while getting Felix 15-20 touches all over the field, special teams included. I’m just worried about Felix’s durability. In my opinion Choice last year against much better defenses looked like a better overall RB than Felix or Barber. More durable, always gets positive yardage, good pass blocking, deceptive speed. Should be the starter all along with Barber closing.
Percy Harvin just had a 101yard KO return.

Broncos Look Strong
They may not be a pushover this year like so many thought. Orton is playing okay, but they have over 180 yards rushing after three quarters.
It won’t be fun to play them in their house in a few weeks.
Bills are first team to slow down saints
I’m shocked at how well they’re playing considering how disfunctional they were this preseason.
TO doesn’t have a catch.
o man he went nuts in the press conference
thank GODDDD hes not on this team anymore.
maybe went nuts isn't the best description
more like a “thats my qb” press conference.
I know its early
but i can’t imagine 9 wins makes the playoffs last year. The Eagles, Giants, 49ers, Cards, Saints, Falcons, Vikings, Packers, Bears all have the potential to be .500 or better.
And...
Seahawks might surprise. Should have won that game today.
If Hassleback is healthy, yes
I don’t see them as a serious threat with Wallaca at qb.
How bout them.......BENGALS?!?!?
They’d be 3-0 if not for a dumb luck bronco play.
I AM THE LAST NAKED WARRIOR!
Yeah
And we play the Broncos next week, whadya’ll think about them vs. us? I don’t think they’re all that, but first things first. We gotta play the Panthers tomorrow night. I hope Romo has his head out of his posterior, plus the D line, plus Felix is ready, plus our recievers do better than they’re pitiful game last week, plus we get a good game plan from Opie, plus I don’t go into cardiac arrest…

I am a little, because it’s a road game, but the Broncos would be 2-1 were it not for a lucky play.

I’m the only one in my friendly pool who picked Indy +2.5. I feel better now!
Just imagine if Jones had hired Singletary. Having our 3 RBs would have been a wetdream for him!
Can’t believe I picked KC to cover spread. Haley might actually have an anerysm during a game. I’ve never seen anyone so angry on a sideline!
I think only a Cowboys fan like me would pick Dallas covering an 8.5 point spread!

I think he's pretty good.
I mean, who knows how he’ll do the rest of this year, but he has averaged 1,800 yards from scrimmage the last 3 years and had at least 1,500 in each of them. I don’t think there are too many other guys out there that have done either of those in the same span.

QB, once a strength, now a weakness?
I have a good friend who was a Brownies fan. I watched their preseason games when Brady was a rookie. Quinn looked like he would amount to something, but they don’t even look like an NFL team now. Wonder if Mangini will survive. They just don’t have any talent besides the OL.
10 Quick Observations from today's games:
1) Every NFC West team lost: SF, SEA, STL, ARI
2) Every NFC North team won: MIN, GB, CHI, DET
3) Mike Vick showed me nothing, but Kolb brought his “A” game
4) WAS is worse than what I thought, and I’m lovin’ it
5) Farve got lucky
6) SF converted zero of 11 on 3rd-down
7) NOR looks “for real”
8) Every AFC division has both 1) An undefeated team 2) A winless team
9) PIT has lost 2 in a row and I couldn’t be happier
10) T. Owens caught zero balls
T.O.
