when you're having 50/50 sucess between run/pass, then that's one thing....yes i would

agree – pull out a play that they don’t expect…..but when you’re blowing them off the line and running all over them, then you call the run, and who CARES if they expect it or not, cuz, like a bad porno flick, you’re gonna shove it down their throat whether they like it or not

2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6

by Grady90 on Sep 28, 2009 10:12 PM CDT up reply actions

he would have to be signed to the 53 man roster and then part of the 45 game-day active roster

if we only have 1 of the 3 RBs healthy, they would pretty much have to sign a practice squad player (or available player from free agency) to give a back-up option just in case of injury and to give the starting RB a break occassionally.
the key, as I understand it, is that after the RB core is healthy again a Lattimore would have to be cut, clear waivers once again and then could be placed back on the practice squad.
I don’t think we’re there yet…for one, Barber could have played tonight if we didn’t have such quality depth. Also, Jones’ injury is just a tweak at this point so let’s hope he doesn’t miss any time

This is driving me crazy.
Our offense sucks they can’t see us score 30 points a game
Our defense gave up 30 points last week and I guess we haven’t improved this week.

ESPN amazing coverage and analysis

Matt Millen has ZERO credibility

He is the biggest failure of a GM in 50 years, whatever he says, do the opposite

by StillHateTheGiants on Sep 28, 2009 11:00 PM CDT reply actions

Millen and Young's point - the Cowboys have no offense players

The Cowboys are averaging almost 30 points a game and had 449 yards tonight

Young is right

The cowboys’ passing game is finding itself still. And, you fing weirdos, they haven’t even MENTIONED the panthers yet. The whole post game has only been about the Cowboys, and 90% of it is praise, and the other 10% is their honest observations.

cannot stomach ANY criticism of the cowboys that is counter to your own opnion?

these guys (ESPN)

LOVE the Cowboys. The game ended 40 minutes ago, and they have only talked about Cowboys.
to answer your question: I know that my fellow Cowboys fans have zero perspective.

Hey, I agree that there are things to be concerned about with the

Cowboys, but It’s still strange to watch sports commentators talk about the winning team like they just lost. Are they totally wrong? No. But I don’t for a second believe Millen and Young are any more objective than we are.

Matt Millen is however an idiot and it made me a bit more confident when he picked against us…haha!

people say things in the heat of the moment....when people are passionate about

their team, they have different ways of showing it, and maybe, just maybe sometimes that passion comes out in the form of over-reaction to criticism of their team….you should at least wait a few hours for things to settle down before you start slamming people – to you people bitching about commentators gets old….but you being the blog watchdog and jumping their a$$es for it gets just as old.

I COMPLETELY BEG TO DIFFER

ESPN reports on the Cowboys because they swing the meter. As many Cowboys fans as there are there are 100x more that HATE the cowboys, but love to watch them.

That is the demographic that ESPN instructs their commentators to go off of. Cowboys fans always respond to the negativity and the hits on the websites and polls is a phenomenal cash cow for them.

I watched Young, and he was completely dismissive of anything positive. Millen attempted to give some props eventually.

I'm not annoyed that they're criticizing usI

I’m annoyed tht Steve young couldn’t find one posiive thing to say about a night where we ran for 200 yards. He wonders how we’re gonna score when we scored 31 on the giants….

by foyesboys on Sep 28, 2009 11:07 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah

I think he thinks both of these teams are mediocre. he was really unimpressed.

by Joey2zs on Sep 28, 2009 11:09 PM CDT up reply actions

We've run for 200 yards against the Giants and Panthers and shut down two

really good run games…..is that not worth talking about? Is that not a positive? The Giants may have their worst rushing statsof the year in that week,

Its the amazing refusal to see that despite the lack of a deep threat, we’re scoring points.

Thats what I was worried about earlier...

I love his abilities but I need to see him hold up before I can trust him as an every down back. He is fun to watch though.

Felix on 1st and 2nd, and then Tash on 3rd, then every third series give it to Tash

Felix

Should of had his coming out party tonight. He would be game MVP if he didn’t get hurt.

by staubachfan on Sep 28, 2009 11:13 PM CDT reply actions

he's giving us about one great play per game

if he can stay healthy this year, Im down with that

Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.
"So when I did that," Feliz says, "I told my mom, 'There you go. There's your present. Don't ask me to strike anyone else out, OK?'

by blalock84 on Sep 28, 2009 11:16 PM CDT up reply actions

it was more like 4 today

If felix can stay healthy….he has limitless potential…..the guy is a ridiculous big play threat from the rb position.

by foyesboys on Sep 29, 2009 4:06 AM CDT up reply actions

This right here!

Is the Cowboys I expected to see this year after everything I heard in the offseason….

That is what I want to see the rest of the year…O-line knocking the D off the line of scrimmage, RB’s picking up 200+ on the ground…3 turnovers by our D, 3 sacks, no turnovers on O….just awesome!

And Butler just earned more playing time tonight! 2 sacks and a ff?! Excellent!

Not to mention the D starting the 2nd half with what 4 three & outs and a pick six?!

No turnovers+huge running game+D forcing sacks & turnovers+MUCH improved ST’s+ 400 yards of offense + close to 30 point average WILL win a lot of games
