I’ll feel better when it’s a two posession game.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
Running the ball is the best Choice
Why is making a Tash pun so much fun?
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
Good play Crayton
Great Pass

Both teams need some Ed Reed and Troy Polomalu tackling drills
The QB class of 2010 looks deep next season.
flo is starting early and holding
quite a lot
since it seems nobody wants to give him credit, then i'm gonna say it - i really think
roy williams is a good blocker

Man these Panthers
They’re hollering, pushing, being unnecessarily rough.
Meanies.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
that was a pretty good pass romo
a little low but good play
I need a TD to anyone but Roy
But why not run it again?

Horrible play calling!!!!!!!!!! Now they're going to kick the FG??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!

the first ne was a good play call
the second one was terrible
Irresponsible is the best word.
That’s what it is. Irresponsible play calling.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
i don't know
because he plays for the redskins.
I really hope
that romo didn’t audible to that
cause bennet clearly had no idea what he was doing
which makes me think romo audibled and he didn’t hear
chill out

everyone expected run there, why not try the 1 on 1 fade again,
by CowboysFan4Life on Sep 28, 2009 10:00 PM CDT reply actions
im absolutely serious
fade wasn’t a terrible call, just a miscommunication on the second one… first one should have been a td

didn't get dominated last time we had a goal line situation
1 on 1 fade routes we should win 9 times out of 10

when you're having 50/50 sucess between run/pass, then that's one thing....yes i would
agree – pull out a play that they don’t expect…..but when you’re blowing them off the line and running all over them, then you call the run, and who CARES if they expect it or not, cuz, like a bad porno flick, you’re gonna shove it down their throat whether they like it or not
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Sep 28, 2009 10:06 PM CDT up reply actions
Problem is that there's not really any such thing as a "bad" prono flick. When they're good they're real good and when they're bad they're still pretty good. LOL

I've supported Garett
…but that made absolutely no sense. If we lose now, it’s on him.

not for one play
it was godawful…but thats one play.
but if we lose because they score a TD, the missed opportunity is on Redball

- John McKay, the first coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Agreed i am right there with u i like him but seriously????
We ran it down there throats that whole series and then that?
So we shouldn't run?
If you are going to run that was the time to do it.

I think that would be a great signing for head coach. He already has a lot of respect from the players
NOW ???????????? WHO is sticking up for GARRETT NOW ???????????????
Just when I’m about to praise him for keeping on the ground and simple……then what…..2nd and goal from the 1 against the worst run D in the league???……2 ill advised passes………
Yup

everyone excpected run… and we got stuffed on the run last drive… we have two excellent jump ball players in roy and tellus, why not try it… it should be auto, second one was just a miscommunication

You're avg. 8+ yds/run...
YOu already tried one fade. Run the damn ball. One of biggest O lines in the game.
Yea but they could become the first team since
whenever to average 8 ypc two games in a row….a one yard run pulls the average down…
Let's go D
Time for the D to keep this game a win.
The first one was a perfect throw
No excuse for Williams dropping it.
thx for the info on why no f jones. . .
. . .heard that after that one play in which he went in motion.
Those two pass calls in the endzone were bad calls — go draw.
Six points ain’t enough here at all.
specner really did well holding the point of attack tere
this guy is a LEGIT run defender

So, now what's wrong with Felix again?
by dcfansinceiwasababy on Sep 28, 2009 10:10 PM CDT reply actions
Someone tell me something
What happens if Jones and Barber are out (currently the case and was the case last year) and then Choice gets injured halfway into a game? Who’s our RB?
I mean if Barber and Jones are OUT. Not “I could come in if that happens.”
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
I was wondering about that
Does he suit up or is he practice squad?
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5
he would have to be signed to the 53 man roster and then part of the 45 game-day active roster
if we only have 1 of the 3 RBs healthy, they would pretty much have to sign a practice squad player (or available player from free agency) to give a back-up option just in case of injury and to give the starting RB a break occassionally.
the key, as I understand it, is that after the RB core is healthy again a Lattimore would have to be cut, clear waivers once again and then could be placed back on the practice squad.
I don’t think we’re there yet…for one, Barber could have played tonight if we didn’t have such quality depth. Also, Jones’ injury is just a tweak at this point so let’s hope he doesn’t miss any time

tnew has been getting slammed. . .
and in some cases, rightfully so. but overall, his play tonight has been great. was he in the right place just then? sure. but some folks would drop that. tnew had presence of mind and good footwork to get in.
wouldn't that make it 10 men on the field?
because watkins is -1
that 2 pt conversion. . .
that draw was how we should’ve scored last time, instead of two pass plays. just saying, as i did before.

Sorry to poop in everyone's cereal but we need to improve our redzone efficiency
And the WR’s need to pick it up if we are going to do anything this year.
Maybe when the OC decides to run inside the 10?

What I took away from this is that we can stop a one-dimensional offense even if it is a very good one i.e. Panthers’ running game. But we’ll have to get better against a balanced offense like that of New York.

I COMPLETELY BEG TO DIFFER
ESPN reports on the Cowboys because they swing the meter. As many Cowboys fans as there are there are 100x more that HATE the cowboys, but love to watch them.
That is the demographic that ESPN instructs their commentators to go off of. Cowboys fans always respond to the negativity and the hits on the websites and polls is a phenomenal cash cow for them.
I watched Young, and he was completely dismissive of anything positive. Millen attempted to give some props eventually.

I’m annoyed tht Steve young couldn’t find one posiive thing to say about a night where we ran for 200 yards. He wonders how we’re gonna score when we scored 31 on the giants….
yeah
I think he thinks both of these teams are mediocre. he was really unimpressed.
We've run for 200 yards against the Giants and Panthers and shut down two
really good run games…..is that not worth talking about? Is that not a positive? The Giants may have their worst rushing statsof the year in that week,
Its the amazing refusal to see that despite the lack of a deep threat, we’re scoring points.

That is what I want to see the rest of the year…O-line knocking the D off the line of scrimmage, RB’s picking up 200+ on the ground…3 turnovers by our D, 3 sacks, no turnovers on O….just awesome!
And Butler just earned more playing time tonight! 2 sacks and a ff?! Excellent!
Not to mention the D starting the 2nd half with what 4 three & outs and a pick six?!
No turnovers+huge running game+D forcing sacks & turnovers+MUCH improved ST’s+ 400 yards of offense + close to 30 point average WILL win a lot of games
