BTB community projections: Quaterbacks
Seen something along these lines put together over at http://www.lonestarball.com/ and thought maybe we could apply it over here to the Boyz. I say lets do likely starters at skill position on offense and throw out a stat line prediction in a generally similar format.Lets start at the top with Romo.Make his format be-
QB rating/Comp %/P. yrds/TD-Int
I'll go first.
94.3/66%/3,965yrds/31-14
Dont even want to look at a kitna line prediction as any significant PT would mean bad things for the boyz. Im interested to see what everyone else thinks, so post predictions in the comments and maybe if there is enough interest, we could post one for other players. link for career stats you say? statshttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6624/career;_ylt=Ai2kKf_M9FuIukskrtVrW_r.uLYF

This is the year he finally plays overcomes his December swoon.

I just projected his pre-December numbers for a whole season.
Modified slightly due to the likely emphasis on the running game.

I'll be surprised if he throws
over 30TDs with us emphasizing more balance this year. Although I’d be really happy with that since he’s on all my fantasy teams.
In Romo we Trust
Here's a QB Rating Calculator for Convenience
http://brucey.net/nflab/statistics/qb_rating.html
I’m going to be generous, and a bit optimistic (I do have Romo on my fantasy squad this year).. These stats are assuming he starts all 16 games-
cmp% – 64%
yards – 4,026
TD – 41
INT – 16
Rating – 107.4
I think we’ll see quite a few screens to Felix go for TD’s this year. (He’s also on my fantasy team, so perhaps I’m being a little too optimistic)
holy hell!!
Under that scenario, we’re not running the ball much. As much fun as that would be to see Romo throw for 41 TDs, I think we’re going to be more balanced than that.
In Romo we Trust
I think we'll run plenty
I’m just assuming we’ll score quite a bit this year, and a large chunk of the TD’s will be passing. As many have said, Romo won’t have to force feed the ball to anyone this year, so the ball will get spread around quite a bit. With Bennett involved in 2 TE sets, and 3 very competent receiving RB’s, I think there will be plenty of short passes and screens to help us move the offense.
I’m feeling good about the team this year. Glad the media’s overlooking them.

Getting cutesy around the goalline can have disastrous results; (passing.) R-r-r-run run the ball inside the ten.
And especially inside the five.
I don’t care how explosive down the field Austin proves to be; the offense isn’t going to produce as many quick strike long TD’s through the passing game this season. I don’t see how.
I’ll go:
64%
3,750-plus yards
TD-27
INT-14
Nothing Really Warrants My Overly-Optimistic Prediction
But I believe not having to force balls to TO so that he stays happy cuts down both on Romo’s INTs and his incompletions. I just have a feeling that he’s going to surprise not only the haters this year, but a few of us who already believe he is the real deal. Here is my prediction:
CMP% – 67.46%
Yards – 4,320
TDs – 37
INTs – 12
Rating – 119.3
Less throws than usual
But better productivity.
320/480, 66.6%.
30 TD, 13 INT, 3700 yards. 99.3 rating.
100 rating but fewer pass attempts
300/450, 66.6%
31 TD, 15 INT, 3.600 yards, 100.0 rating

Good lord, are you guys for real?
Do you people realize there have only been 14 times in the history of the NFL in which a QB has had a passer rating over 105 for an entire season? Last year Rivers was the only one over 100 and the next closest was 97.4. Anything in the 90s is great (only 9 players did it last year.) To predict 110, 115, or 119 is predicting one of the single greatest seasons known to the sport.
That being said, I see a high passer rating but that his yards drop a little. Lots of short passes over the middle to Witten and Crayton and out of the backfield to Felix and Marion.
300/460 65.2% 3600 yds 29 TD 17 Int 96.1 rating
Nice
I think your prediction will be real close.
Training Camp '09 = Mega Thunder Dome....80 men enter, 53 men leave.

I don't do percentages, so...
4001 yards
29 TDs
2 rushing TDs
12 Ints
2 fumbles
and a pinch to grow an inch
The season begins in 3...2...
