Trolling the Wildcard Open Game Threads on SB Nation

BAMBOOZELED!

Here's your chance to troll through the Wildcard open game threads of our fellow bloggers on our sister SBNation sites. All quotes are taken directly from the open game threads from the SBNation team sites as indicated in front of every comment.

Again, this is not intended to call out any of the posters, it's all in good fun.

another solid one OCC

my favorite was probably the saints fans comments on that ridiculous mcnabb dive after a play ended.

you mean when he spun

fell to the ground while throwing the ball way up in the air like someone just slammed him to the ground? lol I think Hatcher had a pinkie at the end of that on McNabbs jersey , so I guess he is that strong :)

"When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option."

by oldboysfan on Jan 10, 2010 9:00 AM CST reply actions

One of the greatest things about this victory...

Is the deafening silence from ByeDawk and the rest of the Iggs fans who couldn’t wait to peddle their hate of the Cowboys on BTB this week. I’m sure every Cowboys fan here has dreaded at least for a moment the thought of dealing with the trolls here after yet another play-off loss.

Instead, we just earned EIGHT months of silencing their comments. EIGHT months of one-upping any and all NFC East trolls.

This feels a bit like when the USA beat Russia in hockey … or when the Red Sox came from 0-3 down to beat the Yanks … or when Buckner gifted the Mets game 6 of the World Series. In each case, these games didn’t finish the season… but the magnitude of these victories created enough momentum to finish the job. The ROLL the Cowboys are on now has that same destiny written all over it.

I don't get the Miles hate

He’s worked hard to get where he is, and it’s not like it’s taboo to celebrate a first down. Not to mention that Brent Celek does it all the time too.

Jealous?

Upgrade to a BTB Platinum Account to view this signature.

by accidental innuendo on Jan 10, 2010 9:20 AM CST reply actions

Yes, Jealous

He gets open at will against their All-World corners, then rubs it in by signaling after he converts a first down. To them, that’s a crime against humanity.

If Brent Celek does the same thing, it’s because he’s a great player who plays with passion, who earned the right to celebrate.

Simple, no?

by kindablue on Jan 10, 2010 9:27 AM CST up reply actions

He's unstoppable and he's local.

Philly fans are so bitter and jealous that if a local player goes to a team that isn’t local, they hate his guts; Kobe, Miles, etc.

by Baked Potato Soup on Jan 10, 2010 10:31 AM CST up reply actions

Yeah, I don't get that either.

Miles is a likable guy and it’s always nice to see somebody at that position buck the draft system. I’d root for him if he were on another team.

by Aaron Novinger on Jan 10, 2010 11:12 AM CST up reply actions

The Miles hatred..

I see it as coming from the fact that he seems to be just having so much fun, at the exact time that opposing fans are feeling the opposite of what he’s celebrating.

Maybe too there is the (largely accurate) perception that his emergence is the biggest factor in our success this year.

I've been a Kolb supporter all year

cause frankly, I think McNabb is drastically overrated. He has a guy in jackson that is so good at getting open deep, if he could just hit him over the middle accurately, that team would be an absolute menace. But he can’t. I think Kolb will be better.

Was listening to some sports radio when I was out about an hour ago

For what it’s worth, they were talking about the potential of a McNabb to the Vikings trade since Favre might be done after this season.

how can anyone, even eagles fans, hate Miles

All he does is keep his mouth shut, play good ball and smile.

I tend to think of these 'I hate player x' comments

as the highest compliment an opposing fan can give a cowboy player without succumbing to an immediate braincramp

Maybe some Irvin mentoring has helped

Mike recently took the time to talk to the Cowboy receivers to given the some pointers. One of the things he told them was to remember the count it will help you get out faster and to your break. I looked for it after that and Miles does do an excellent job of getting of the LOS. While our boy RW was not as interested in what Mike had to say and you watch him, he’s always slow of the line. Maybe that’s why he’s late on this breaks and can’t get his has hands up in time to catch the ball.

Another thing I remember Mike saying in other interviews was the antics he did after a big play was as much to celebrate as it was to try and get into the heads of his opponents. Looks like it works better on the fans. This may be another Mike lesson for Miles

He's like the cute little bunny

He sits there all cute and peaceful, everyone looks admirably at him until he starts eating up their lush garden which they put so much time into. Now it’s personal :P

Is that the rabbit from Monty Python's Holy Grail movie?

Because that bunny could throw down a mean decapitation.

Awesome as always, OCC. Huge highlight after a win.
I know you males like Faith Hill, but god these songs she sings suck

I honestly don’t care about Faith Hill, but for some reason it annoys me that this person doesn’t know that it’s a Joan Jett song.

1 Joan Jett = 50 Faith Hills
