Prediction Contest Divisional Round Picks
So people suggested using the Simple Playoff Prediction leaderboard thread as the official thread to give out next picks. I was ok with that but with only a few days to go I feel there should be more picks then there already are. So, since it's going slowly, I'm opening this to be the official pick thread for the divisional round. Remember, if you don't pick this round by the first game on Saturday, you're out of the contest.
Also, just a reminder saying if you didn't participate in this from the beginning, it's fine to put your picks down, but you won't be part of the contest.
My picks:
Dallas
Arizona
Indianapolis
San Diego

Jets are playing this weekend right?
Texas: Where God goes to relax.
Unless he's watching the Cowboys.
This is your second input
You changed it from Saints to Cards. That’s what I’m putting on the chart, ok? Seeing as this is your “official” pick.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 11-5!!!
2009 New York Jets: not 11-5 :(, but PLAYOFFS!!!
2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks: 57-25, despite the recent molestation at the hands of the Lakers
I don't even remember what color my socks are. Oh, there they are, white btw.
How can I be expected to remember something that I did 3 days ago?
Texas: Where God goes to relax.
Unless he's watching the Cowboys.
I didn't say you remembered/forgot anything
Just confirming this is it.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 11-5!!!

Doomsday D-picks:
#1-Cowboys
#2-Saints
#3-Colts
#4-Chargers
I went 0-4 last week...
…and the Cowboys continue to do the opposite of what I predict so again I am required to go the other way and take the Vikings.
Saints over the Cards and I don’t think it will even be close
Colts over the Ravens
Chargers over the Jets
The 2009 Dallas Cowboys: Talk to me in December.
The NFC East has won 11 Super Bowls; oddly none of those have come courtesy of the Eagles.
You're bound to get one this week :)

I am curious...
what makes you think that the saints are going to kill the Cards?

I have nothing wrong with the pick...
I just don’t think there is anything that would make me think that the Cardinals are going to get destroyed.
by The Immortal Iron Fist AKA AFB on Jan 13, 2010 3:31 PM CST up reply actions
I think the Cards will be worn out from last weeks shoot out...
…and not have the energy to keep up w/ another one.

To an extant I understand.
I’m picking the Cards to win, BUT I do think that it does take alot of emotional drain out being in a game like that.
I think it’s going to be a good game.
Kurt Warner is playoff beast, and if Dallas ends up playing them, it’ll be a very tough game.

I wanted to do that...
I just think that one of those AFC teams are going to get upset.
by The Immortal Iron Fist AKA AFB on Jan 13, 2010 3:32 PM CST up reply actions
However...
…both of those teams (Chargers & Colts) have been burned before, in the Divsional round, after having had a bye recently.
I think they’ll both have a litte more edge and focus this time around.

plus I’ve seen way too many Peyton commercials in my lifetime (and I live in Europe!)
And don’t get me started on Brady …

"When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option."

btw is there a handicap for people who have terrible luck at picking? +2 POINTS?
lol

Grady, I hope I don't jinx you
but I like the same four teams you do. It would amuse me to no end to see the road teams win in the NFC this week to end this IMO, stupid meme about dome teams having an advantage.
Here’s a factoid none of those meme pimpers have mentioned — ALL the NFC finalists are dome teams. The Cards play in a dome. Dallas plays in a dome. Sure, their roofs can open, but how often has either team played under an open sky this year? I think the roof has been open in Dallas once. Every Cards game I’ve seen has been closed.
