Schefter: deals that should happen but won't
Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber to the Green Bay Packers for a fourth-round pick: Green Bay balked at parting with a fourth-round pick for Marshawn Lynch, but it needs a running back to help carry the offense through the season. The most attractive part of the deal for the Cowboys is not the pick, it's unloading Barber's seven-year, $45 million contract.

That would be a beneficial trade
Or maybe Barber and a 5th rounder to New England for Mankins. New England has a lot of spares in their backfield with Fred Talylor and Law Firm.
I'd do that trade in a heartbeat
MB3 is and has always been a favorite of mine, but if you’re not always looking for ways to improve your team then the management aint doing their job. With 2 other very capable backs on the 53 it makes all the sense in the world to do.
But he’s right, it’ll never happen for contractual reasons.
You draw up the deal I will make some calls...
Even a turd in the bowl can occasionally score a goal...
