Guys you can't expect to win every week. Its impossible. I know we had the game won with about 4 minutes left if Roy holds onto that ball. Yet it was a great played game by our Cowboys. We fought back after being down 17-0. Our frustration showed after the game when I saw comments such as "They're NFL players. They should have heart and pride" etc. Well you do know a bunch of Bengals fans would sure love to have a 3-8 team that will show some fight. Yet even when we play well and don't get the victory there must always be a player to get released for next year.
We all know how overrated Roy Williams was coming into 2010, but hes had a nice year. We used him well and before Romo left he led the team in touchdowns. Right now he sits at 5 TD's. Last night was not all his fault. Look Williams was running up the field and Tracy Porter was being blocked by Miles Austin. So Roy was running straight. Meanwhile Malcolm Jenkins is catching up to Roy and Roy switches the ball because Porter is on the opposite side. He had no idea Jenkins is behind him and gets stripped. Is that really his fault? He said if he got tackled thats a W. Of course Roy. You're 100% right, but it didn't happen. I know I was mad at the time, but its actually not all his fault.
The Saints then went down the field I think it was about 80-90 yards to get a TD. Newman needs some blame. He let up the huge play to let the Saints in our end of the field. Then Brees passes a perfect pass to Moore over the middle for a catch in the endzone. As Garrett said we didn't blink we went out to work. They kept fighting even after down 17-0. They just need to learn how to win those type of games.
I'm done with that subject until comments show up. I'll be talking about an ESPN article right here. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4674945/what-was-jason-garrett-thinking
I actually got angry and responded with my ESPN account.
This article is complete bull crap. Nice job you can say what Garrett should do AFTER the game. Oh man grab a head set. He did well enough to win because Roy Williams was stripped its blamed on Garrett? Because Newman got burned we blame it on Garrett? I'm so sick of ESPN doing this bias stuff towards the Cowboys. You either love them or hate them.
Garrett coached us back from 17-0. Without some of these calls you may not win. If he went for it on 4th and 1 from the Saints 3 and didn't get it you know we'd hear why he didn't kick the field goal. Coaching is just impossible to get right when you lose. You'll hear every angle and every aspect from every call. The Cowboys were up 27-23 with under 4 minutes to go and just had a big play erased by a fumble. Is that Garrett's fault? No. So this article is just unnecessary.
