Even though this franchise isn't one of the original pro football teams, we have been around for 50 years. In 50 years, we have amassed a NFL high 8 trips to the Super Bowl. We have 5 wins, tied with San Francisco for 2nd place, behind Pittsburgh's league leading 6 Championships. Our history is rich and "storied."
In any argument, we have an edge, that stat that can't be overcome. Even with a Steelers fan, we can point to our trips to the Super Bowl to keep close with their number of wins. With a 49ers fan, we can also rely on that trip quantity to end any argument.
The best argument we can have to shut down Cowboy desecration would be against a fan of a team that hasn't gone to a Super Bowl yet. Short list. Then, we come to those that have been there, but didn't get it done. And, that is where I have most of my debates within the NFL. See, the worst possible end of the season would be for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl. Not only would they have a Super Bowl ring instead of a Super Bowl bridesmaid's dress, but it would happen in our house. If you think things can't get any worse now, wait for February if the Eagles end the NFL season with a win.
I just had a chill.
