Our Cowboys Interactive mock rd 7
First off let me thank everyone who participated it was great fun and I enjoyed the participation. After 6 rds our draft looks like this.
rd 1 27 Charles Brown OT Southern California
rd 2 59 Morgan Burnett FS Georgia Tech
rd 3 90 Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnati
rd 4 127 John Jerry OG Mississippi
rd 6 200 Myron Rolle SS Florida State
This takes us to our 7th rd pick which is 238th overall, for this final poll only players ranked at 238 or lower will be used. So far with this draft we have added depth to the O-line but not at the C position so I added 3 here, we still have n`t pick a big corner so a couple are listed though we did add 2 safeties to the secondary, Still have n`t drafted a back up for Rat though we do have Junior already there, a couple of rb`s are on the list if anyone thinks Barber is no longer a Barbarian, a blocking FB in case Cricket is canned, a kicker in case we need one, a young QB that could cause concern for McGee, etc etc etc. Again thanks to all and here is our 7th rd choices.
rd 7 238
Patrick Stoudamire CB Western Illinois 5-10 207
Mike Kafka QB Northwestern 6-3 216
Al Woods DT LSU 6-4 312
Corey Peters DT Kentucky 6-3 295
Mike McLaughlin ILB Boston College 6-0 236
Erik Cook C New Mexico 6-6 320
Boris Lee ILB Troy 6-0 238
Stevenson Sylvester OLB Utah 6-2 225
Deji Karim RB Southern Illinois 5-09 210
Doug Worthington DT Ohio State 6-5 288
Hunter Lawrence K Texas 5-11 184
Jay Ross DT East Carolina 6-3 314
Manase Tonga FB Brigham Young 5-11 238
Kevin Matthews C Texas A&M 6-3 298
Stafon Johnson RB Southern California 5-11 214
Reggie Stephens OG/C Iowa State 6-3 322
A.J. Wallace CB Penn State 6-0 195

Great Value in Rd 7
and an instant upgrade behind Ratliff (also a 7th Rounder!!).
I think McLoughlin will be gone by now…but if for some reason he isn’t he may be the pick. But I really like Peters as a late rd DT and getting him in Rd 7 is too good to pass up.
Walter McFadden CB Auburn
He is a very underrated CB that plays the ball very well. Was one of the better corners in the SEC this year. His only knock is his skinny frame.
maybe we address cb in UDFA
Crezdon Butler
Height: 6-0 | Weight: 185 | Position:CB | College: Clemson
IS ANOTHER POSSIBILITY.
depends on the offer
If Dallas gives him the most guaranteed money he may still come here. Also depends on who invites him. Do you want to go suck on the Browns or win with the Boys!
I think hunter Lawrence is going to be a great kicker in this league
2009 BTB Fantasy Champ... Deal with it
Lawrence is a good pick.
Have no trouble with Peter’s if Lawrence is gone. Remember we weren’t the only ones with kicker problems this year.
Ziggy
Just cruising other mock drafts and Draftec. com shows Dallas having compensary picks in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th rounds. Are the compensary picks officially known yet and do you know why we would get four reasonably decent picks.
my understanding is
we will get no draft compensation picks based on the blog I`m posting, he has a pretty good track record but I hope your correct about it.

Dallas — The Cowboys signed three qualifying players and lost two, plus one who is on the bubble for qualifying. Even if the bubble player qualifies and the Cowboys break even in the equation, the values on each side of the ledger are too close for the Cowboys to get a “net value” pick.
Complete, thanks to all for voting.

Thanks Ziggy
I’ll include it in the midweek front page post on the mock drafts

As much as I dislike the Charles Brown pick in the 1rst
This would be an awesome draft for the Cowboys. I would prefer more OL help, swap Burnett for Valdeheer, but all in all it would be very solid.
I guarantee there will be better options than Brown at #27
There are always players that slide in every draft, this one will be no different.
In Romo we Trust
Burnett is the crown jewel in this draft, IMO
I’m also liking the John Jerry pick.

Rolle in the 6th
is an almost unbelievable steal.
RW is the opposite of WR. Coincidence? I think not.
NOT sure why he`s ranked 202
last yr there was talk of he and Taylor Mays coming out early and the Safety hype was Mays followed by William Moore and Rolle right behind as the top 3, well Mays stayed in school, Rolle went overseas and Moore ran slow at the combine and went in rd 2. Even in last yr`s safety hype there were some gurus only seeing Rolle as a 3rd or 4th rd pick last yr now take away a yr from playing and question his commitment ie signs a contract as a 4th rd pick and now factor in any further education commitments he has going forward. Also this yrs Safety class is deep maybe he slides.
