FOLK WORKING OUT for NYG
Check it out: i thought we would bring him back after just one rough year. yes we've all talked about Buehler and maybe someone else. what ever happened to getting that really good guy from the CFL?
i dunno, all i know is that i have faith in this guy and i remember plenty of times he made quality kicks. Buffalo 2007 anyone? exactly...thats all i'm saying...lets make it happen

we signed a kicker
Conor Hughes who was beat out by Suisham but apparently outperformed him was just that the Cowboys wanted a little more experience at the position, in retrospect I think they think they goofed. He might have to earn it in camp however such as against a vet looking for a job or a rookie.
If Folk has other offers, it may not be as easy as saying “Let’s bring him back.” Personally, if I were Folk, I’d be looking for a new start rather than going back to play for the team that unceremoniously dumped me just a few months ago.
How can you ceremoniously dump a guy...
… That failed as miserably as he did at his only job?
He was asked to concentrate solely on FG Kicking after the team drafted Buehler…
Viva México! Go Cowboys!
Yeah, it wasn't like he was dumped after just a couple missed kicks.
The Boys were making a playoff push and had to do something. I wouldn’t mind Folk getting another chance in Dallas, but understand that he has to take work where he can find it. BD may be right that a change of scenery may help him.
I disagree with your entire point and your semantics. If the Cowboys were willing
to give him another chance, he’d be a tool to stand on pride. He was horrible this season, and he knew it and couldn’t have been surprised he was cut. He wasn’t doing his job, and I don’t know what you do, but in most places that gets you fired. So, the implication in your post that Folk was somehow unfairly treated and should turn up his nose at the Cowboys is ridiculous.
Why would Folk come back, and why would the Cowboys want him back?
Every time he missed a FG, he’d be looking over his shoulder, and the Cowboys would be thinking “It is starting again”

I would rather just go for it on 4th down
than bring back Folk or Suisham. We have to find a kicker this off-season somehow. A decent kicker could have been the difference between a wild card spot and a first round bye last season.
Let him go to NYG
and shank away 3 points after Eli shanks away their chances at 7! Sounds like a perfect match.
Exactly my thoughts...
I always will appreciate Folk for his daggers in Buffalo, but this season was so bad for him I think we did what had to be done.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

denver signed a kicker they cut as a kicking consultant. why cant we do that. we owe nick folk that. kinda. i would hate to see him kick for another team tho.
"what do voluntary mean?" - Darren Hambrick
Really?
You just can’t stand seeing Nick Folk, a kicker who cost us at least one game last season, ever don a uniform other than our beloved star?
Personally, I didn’t feel any real connection with Folk and the Cowboys, and I don’t see why you did.
Golden Tate can believe it's not butter.
K may be the most critical hole to fill in the offseason
And much more likely in FA than by through the draft if we want an immediate impact. Further, we won’t know if Buehler is a viable PK until after the draft.
Colts will release Stover, and and though up in years, he’s dependable inside 40. At this point, that’s a huge improvement. Same for Olindo Mare. Neil Rackers – maybe, but doesn’t he kick off as well? Jeff Reed, no way.
Don’t think you’re going to see Folk invited back. I, too remember BUF and the wonderment of such a exceptional performer coming out of nowhere. But he’ll always be viewed with suspicion, and you just can’t have that. Images of the pre-game warmup in NO are enough all by themselves
