Doug Free Poll

Last year Colombo got injured in the Green Bay game, and I though the season would go down the drain, but Free stepped in and played some solid football, but now its the off season and we don't know how Doug Free fits in.

Nobody seems to agree what role Doug Free plays for the Cowboys so this poll will tell us what you guys think.

I would prefer another option like “he is a good option at RT right now and could be the LT after Flo moves on after this year”

If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

Agreed

This is like a political slant pole.

RW is the opposite of WR. Coincidence? I think not.

Picked option 5.

Free didn’t look awful at LT by any means, but I think I’d rather see him start at RT, where he’s proven he can play well, and have another stud waiting in the wings behind Flo.

Either way, gotta’ love the options Free gives us. He makes our O line that much deeper, and allows us a little wiggle room in the draft.

I guess option 2 is the closest for me

but I think he can push Colombo for the RT role right now. I just don’t think he is dominant LT material. But I think he can make for a great RT, and think he’s a pretty good one right now. This team will be made or broken by the O-Line next year in my opinion.

With some improvement in pass protection (I think our run blocking has been excellent), this team is a Super Bowl contender.

He is the future RT, not LT....

The good thing is he could play LT and be servicable to good. At RT he could shine.

Maybe a little more POP at the point of attack. However his pass protection and ability to pull and hit at the next level push his overall play up.

KICK ASS every day!!!

Columbo was fantastically awful...

when he came back, but it may be that he was just not ready…but, boy oh boy, he really got his a$$ handed to him late in season. Someone screwed up by not letting Free continue and it could very well have cost us the season. I hate it when coaches do the politically correct thing and hand the injured player back his job. Hats off to Casey Stengel when Wally Pipp got injured and Lou Gehrig took his place…and the rest is history. But you young whipper-snappers are probably too young to remember this.

lol "young whipper-snappers"

but Colombo played in the playoff game against the Eagles, but got killed vs. Edwards of the Vikes.
I though the Cowboys might put him in for Colombo, but Flo got injured so that didn’t happen.
