DC Mock ver. 3
This will be the my version of the mock draft until the Cowboys do something in FA. Used a Mix between PFW's draft magazine as well as CBSsports draft ratings for placements
1st round
Maurkice Pouncey, C Florida
2nd Round
Vladimir Ducasse, OT UMass
3rd Round
Chris Cook, FS/CB Virginia
via www.thesabre.com
4th Round
Walter Thurmond, CB/RS Oregon
6th Round
Marcus Easley WR, UConn
7th Round
Andre Neblett DT/DE, Temple
via media.scout.com
Start out w/ 2 Oline picks to infuse new blood w/ major talent, then go for a CB that projects as a FS then take a chance on a guy w/ major talent but was injured, go for a late bloomer that even though will need work has all the tools and then finish up w/ a DT/DE to inspire some more competition. There are still things we would all like to have such as a NT to backup Rat, but there wasn't a spot that I felt the DT was the highest need at that point besides the 7th when there aren't any biggens left that could crack the rotation

Not bad at all Nick.
Aren’t Cook and Easley moving up according to some sites. It would be great to get them there, but it seems whenever specific guys are mentioned they suddenly begin to move up the draft boards. I could live with this draft.
surprisingly Easley dropped
in cbs draft site, he was a fourth but now a late 6th rounder, Cook not sure but I think he may drop being he isn’t very physical and has too bad of hips to be a corner, but he has good hands and has pretty good anticipation

I would be ecstatic
with that draft. Reminds me a little of the Jets drafting Ferguson and Mangold a few years back and solidifying their line for the long haul. Cook would be a solid pick in the 3rd as well.
Seems like a best case scenario, so I doubt it will happen. I’m keeping my expectations low so hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised come draft day.
Too Good to be True
I don’t want to get my expectations this high, because I would be very pleased with this one.
This, would be a great draft
every player can contribute in some fashion right away and all of them could develop into starters.
That is one thing I think some people forget when they’re making a Cowboys mock. The Boys by and large don’t draft guys who lack the measurables to become a starter. All these players have quality tools and no character red flags to my knowledge. And of course, all of them played pretty darn well on the field.
Great mock Nick!
Not bad at all
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
I like it
This haul would receive a lot of A’s in the post draft grading.
Might be some wishful thinking on Cook in the 3rd and Easley in the 6th, though.
to make the jump to the next level, Odrick said today he needs to work on one area. "Just being more violent overall,'' Odrick said. "Play the game and play it right, violently.''
Easley dropped in cbs sports draft
and I have a feeling Cook will be available because of the things he is lacking (see above)

I like this draft so much that I think it moved .......
I’m not even kidding ….
I'm Cool With It
I think it’s what most of us want take the best player available.
I don’t think Ducasse will fall to us in the second but you never know.
this draft shows that there will be value in the later rounds.

Ducasse I wouldn't think either
but fans don’t feel he is good enough (live draft on mockingthedraft) he is always available and while they aren’t as knowledgeable as GMs they do know their teams best and all have good knowledge on the prospects

Good Stuff
I like the beef early in the draft.
And the flying Duck in the 4th is most intriguing. We could use a young b;lood with return skills.
Hmmmmm, sounds like I should be at the horse track…..
Flying duck in the 4th paying 6 to 2!
Not bad, but I think there's wishful thinking on Ducasse here
I would love to be wrong, but I think any team that wants OT at the top of the 1st and doesn’t get an OT or passes on one, will snap him up early in the 2nd. I’m thinking teams like Washington or Buffalo or Oakland or Seattle.
He’s in that second tier with Fox and Brown. I would be very surprised to see any of them left after pick 40.
Cook seems high, when there may be better pure CBs or FS prospects in the 3rd than a guy who projects as a move player.
The only reason
I had Ducasse is mockingthedraft’s live draft, he is always there, so maybe a little hopeful but its warranted, we most likely would have to move up maybe give up a future pick.
I like Cook, he has range and size and while there may be a pure safety out there I don’t think they would bring what Cook could bring
