Some will want to hang me for saying so but we need to hold on to Roy Williams this year. Obviously this is happening at this stage unless something happens on draft day but I say save him and use him as a possible bargaining chip in the draft.
There maybe be two potentially great receivers in next year's draft in A.J. Green and Julio Jones. They will be Juniors this year and potentially entering the draft, however we don't know this as many people decide to stay in college and finish off their senior year.
Julio Jones is a guy, however, that I have kept my eye on in college, and I don't even watch college sports really at all. He will probably be the next BIG receiver in the NFL. For one interesting fact, no one, before Julio Jones, started at WR for the Crimson Tide as a Freshman on the first game of the season. Julio Jones did this and played pretty well.
A.J. Green, of the University of Georgia, also has similar attributes to Jones and it is a toss-up of who is better but Julio Jones has grabbed my eye more than Green. However, green is more of a lanky speedster compared to the bigger, more physical guy that is Julio Jones. Both could be great at the next level and possess great skills. A.J. Green is still said to have great physicality though.
Either way, the class that these two were recruited in is referred to the "the class that brings back the tall, physical receiver" (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/05/23/rivals.receivers/index.html). Both receivers stand at 6' 4" and have good speed for their size. Next years draft and maybe the one after it will probably be better for drafting a new WR so I say hang on to Roy for now and use him as a bargaining chip to get a higher pick to get one of these great prospects in the future. That is unless Roy can manage to pull of an absolutely amazing season together in 2010. Of course if he doesn't do all that well he won't be much of a bargaining chip so lets hope in all scenarios that he at least has a decent season so we can make a use of him somewhere.
I got some guys that I like this year like Arrelious Benn but I would say just grab a guy like Emanuel Sanders, Taylor Price or Jacoby Ford (speedsters although ogletree has proven to be pretty effective and runs a 4.36 40) and save the big prospect WR for next year or the following year.
