Jerry Jones claims in the post-draft press conference that Sean Lee was a first round grade on the Cowboys board. More than that, Jerry says that Sean was a first-half of the first round on their board. Jerry then goes on to discuss how he tried to trade up all day to get Sean. Jerry started the day by trying to trade into the #8 pick of the 2nd round, which was the Dolphins' pick. The #40 pick was too expensive as were multiple other offers that the Cowboys continued to field up until the Eagles agreed to let the Cowboys trade up at the #55 pick to take Sean.
The Cowboys war room was reported to have been exuberant at the pick of Sean Lee. Members were jumping out of their chairs and high fiving across the table when the trade and selection they had been going for all day was finally completed.
Does your level of excitement about the Sean Lee pick match that of the Cowboys' war room? Or do you view this as an overvaluation by Dallas' scouts?
