2010 NFL Draft: The Dallas Cowboys Select CB Jamar Wall
With the 196th pick, (sixth round), the Dallas Cowboys select CB Jamar Wall from Texas Tech.
3/13/10: Couldn't run the 40 at his Pro Day because of a tweaked hamstring.
1/9/10: Jamar Wall had a whopping 15 passes broken up as a senior, earning himself a spot on the All-Big XII Second Team.
3/7/09: Defense was a problem for Texas Tech in 2008, but don't look at Jamar Wall. Wall, an All-Big XII honorable mention, broke up 11 passes and snagged two interceptions.
8/5/08: Jamar Wall started every game as a sophomore and recorded five interceptions. He was on the All-Big XII Second Team.
They say he's a big hitter, but has good coverage skills. Big hitter?

Love this pick
Kid brings an attitude to pass coverage, something that Ken Hamlin brought. Great pick and fills a need.
If mock drafters have ANY cred, strong probability
he would have been around in the 7th round, or even UDFA.
I'd Love to see him do that to Desean Jackson

If he got a hit like that on DeSean
He might have completely flipped him since that was a running back in this video and is listed at 15 lbs more than DeSean.
Tony Romo off in dat hole, Watch roll and watch him throw, Watch him lead dem cowboys to the super bowl, now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys!

Mel Kiper
Has CJ Wilson in his top 10 available now. I guess he likes the way he pounded the strike zone the other night.

Can't blame him
But his high fly-ball to ground-out ratio might translate into a complete bust at the NFL level.

I like these kinds of pics.
He sure blew up Zac Robinson in the related vids.
Trust them...they know what they're doing.

Yeah
but he can GO. Nothing more than a returner, but if they have a roster spot they can use, he could get them a score or 2 and set up for another 3 or 4.

Big Hitter
Google Jamar Wall and Zack Robinson.
Great play maker, comes up big in key moments. He was a great running back in high school, but there’s a reason why he came to Texas Tech as a db and has a lot of pass breakups…..hands are very sub par.

Ouch
Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Felix Jones = defensive coordinator's Kobayashi Maru scenario

You must be talking about Trindon Holliday
He’s my favorite player in the draft. Easily one of the fastest players who will ever see an NFL field.

Huge play in the game.
Too bad the offense couldn’t captilize on it. Wall came up big on a pick in overtime in the Nebraska game the year before.

Vividly remember that play
Zac appeared not to see him coming, brutal hit.
Didn’t know it was Wall who hit him.

Rolle Gone
To Tennesee. Add his and VY’s IQ into 1 player, and they have a guy of normal intelligence.

I actually really like the pick after a little time.
As much as I would have liked Washington in the slot, any corner that gets 15 pass breakups in the Big 12 South and has a 40" vertical sounds good to me. He also brings a toughness and I actually found a scouting report that pegged him as a possible 2nd round before he apparently had a poor week of practice leading up to the East-West Shrine Game. Oddly enough though, in the game itself he had 3 pass breakups and 6 tackles.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
Yeah...I liked Rolle
think it’s a shame they penalize the kid for being smart
"Let me not mourn for heroes who have died fighting but rather let me be glad such heroes have lived." G.S. Patton
Rolle is REALLY being penalyzed because he had 1 INT in his career at FSU.
He is a good player, but not a great player. He was picked in the final three rounds because that’s where he deserved to be picked, not because of some non-sensical bias against smart people.
OK So far
We went WR, ILB
DB, OT, DB
Defense 3
Offense 2
Typical split for us if they take another D player
I liked this pick
Dime back and ST terror. He might even be able to play some safety
Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Felix Jones = defensive coordinator's Kobayashi Maru scenario
he can be
a coverage safety….We need those

Michael Crabtree
This is the guy that defended Michael Crabtree in Practice and wouldn’t go up against anyone else because he was the best cover man they had. I think that speaks pretty well of Wall, plus the video we see tells us the guy is physical and can hit.
