Pet Cats

Man I can't wait for the draft to get here. I've said before, I think this will be one of the more interesting drafts in recent years. I truly believe there will be several good to great players taken in the first 150 picks. (By good to great I mean instant starters and Pro Bowl worthy within three years.)

One of the reasons I love this blog is because there are so many informed fans who write and comment about the Boys. So with that being said, I would like to know who your pet cats are. Who are the guys who, if drafted by the Cowboys, will have you jumping off the couch and screaming for joy?

Here's some of the guys I like:

OG John Jerry - Mississippi, solid prospect who projects more to guard in my opinion. Fits the Cowboys profile for bigger lineman - he's 6'5" 350 - and could replace either Kosier or Davis in a year or two.

C J.D. Walton - Baylor, smart center, good size

OT Tony Washington - Abilene Christian University, As an ACU alum I got to see Washington up close.  He's tall 6'6" and in a professional weight program has the frame to add some more muscle onto his 311 lbs. Was a DI prospect but had some off the field issues (namely he had sex with a minor who turned out to be his sister when he was 16)... but at ACU was nothing but a class athlete. Nasty temprament on the field, gentle giant off of it. Needs a few years to develop his body and technique... but could be sleeper in this draft.

WR Mardy Gilyard - Cincinnati, the kid makes plays all over the field

WR Taylor Price - Ohio, Cowboys have already brought him in for a workout, the more I read about him the more I like him.

CB Walter Thurman III - Oregon, has had to deal with several injuries, but when he played... he played well

NT Mike Neal - Purdue,  late round NT prospect who plays similar to the Rat.

DE Vince Oghobaase - Duke, athletic and quick, a project player who could develop into the gap-shooting 3-4 end Spears and Canty were supposed to be.

OL Ciron Black - LSU, don't know whether he would be a tackle or guard, but he fits the Cowboys profile as a big (6'5" 328) strong lineman who can dominate in the run game. Underachieved at times, but when he's on... look out.

FS Morgan Burnett - Georgia Tech, read Dave's profile on Burnett, seems like a perfect fit for the 'Boys.

Well, there are 10 players I like and would be extremely happy if the Cowboys picked up 2 or 3 of them. But what about you, who are your sleepers?
