Cowboys Shopping Austin?

I came across this in a Sports Nation chat -

Steve Davis Belhaven North Carolina [via mobile]

Do you think Dallas will put Roy williams in the slot and Start Bryant and austin also what will happen to crayton?

Mosley (12:53 PM)

I believe they're listening to offers on Austin. Doesn't really matter where you put Williams at this point. Simply not a good fit on this team. Bryant and Austin will get the valuable playing time as the season unfolds.

I don't know what leads him to believe this, if anything I think the Cowboy's plan at this moment is to force as many passes towards Roy Williams as possible, then unload his undeserved contract and try to get a decent 7th rounder or popcorn making machine in return.

Although I really hope that Roy Williams has a nice 2010 season I'd hate to lose out on necessary players due to his bloated contract. Underachieving is one thing, but I doubt anybody honestly foretold Miles Austin having a break out season (although I was hoping he would beat out not only Hurd but also Crayton last year).

Even if Roy Williams had a break out season and piled up more statistics than Miles (big if) - I think the perception around Cowboys nation wouldn't change.

Miles Austin is young, Kevin Ogletree is young, and Dez Bryant is (obviously young). I think this could be our receiving core for years to come. Tall, fast, physical receivers with great hands - similar to the San Diego Chargers mold.

Do you think Mosley was speaking out of term or do you think he has insider information?

What would it really take for the Cowboys to unass Miles Austin?
