Footballer Turns Down Philadelphia Because It's Too Ugly

Okay, it's the other kind of football but it's still funny. Robert Pires, the former Arsenal and current Villarreal star, tells L'equipe he turned down an MLS offer from the Philadelphia Union because, "if I have to go far away with my family, I prefer to do it in a beautiful town.'' He would still consider going to New York, to play with his old Arsenal buddy Thierry Henry. I guess the Big Apple passes Bob's aesthetics test. Ouch!
