Disappointing bit on Marion Barber
Gerry Fraley, a writer for the DMN, recently said in a chat that Marion Barber is "immature and unprofessional" in his personal dealings. When a fan asked him to elaborate, Fraley wrote: "Marion Barber will not talk to the media. I have no problem with that. I respect that and will never complain about a player who does not talk to the meida, as long as he is consistent. Marion does not return the respect. He insists on disrupting interviews with other players who meet their professional obligations. Sometimes, he does potentially dangerous things such as spraying aerosols into a group of reporters. That is unprofessional. I respect Marion's right to do his job as he chooses. I would appreciate him doing the same for me. So far, he will not." I hope Felix Jones is as classy as he appears to be.

I have heard the same thing from the guys who do the "lunch break show" from josh ellis and nick eatmen.
The story has some credibilty from the standpoint that more than one source (who will name themselves for once) come out and say what MB3 is doing. The bigger question is what is his role on this team? The other leaders on this team such as romo, ware, ratliff, brady, witten all take the time to talk to the media and are leaders on and off the field. MB3 is probably content to be a role-player as opposed to a leader, but should show more professionalism and respect to those who do decide to speak with the media. It also adds to the situation before the panthers game where he left the stadium because he found out that he was not going to play, regardless of how much notice he was given; a professional stays on the sidelines to show his support and then privately talks to the FO about the issue after the game.
Ignore the Mainstream Media, EMBRACE THE HATE!!!!
Crazy.
Didn’t think MB3 was such a jokester. Wonder if he’s ever flicked Ed Werder’s ears.
Trust them...they know what they're doing.

really guys, he’s not that bad, this is exactly what they’re talking about and everyone, journalists included seemed to get a laugh out of it…. maybe these guys are just trying to stur up some bad press for him because he won’t ever do interviews.
I agree...they're just being goofy.
MB3 gets practical jokes played on him, so of course he’s gonna reciprocate.

Good find
This proves that Fraley is just looking to create a story where there is none. This “dangerous thing” that Marion did was actually considered quite funny by those around him, and was absolutely harmless. These reporters got a much more entertaining story because of MBIII, and they were probably pretty happy about it.

Oh brother
Does he think he’s a White House correspondent? It’s a locker room, Fraley!
“Gaah, I’ve been exposed to Right Guard aerosol spray! The humanity!”
Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Felix Jones = defensive coordinator's Kobayashi Maru scenario
Fraley comes across as a titty baby to me.
When you go into a lockeroom, expect horseplay. Ballplayers have been playing grabass and pulling jokes for years. Grow some nuts Fraley or go cover checkers and chess.
Cowboy78 Picked Up the Issue Here
Nick Eatman has brought home the point by showing that after tough losses like the 44-7 debacle against the Eagles two years ago or the second loss against the Giants last year, both games where Barber committed key fumbles, Barber was nowhere to found, leaving people like Jason Witten to face the microphones and answer the hard questions. On the other hand, when things go well, he horses around and disrupts interviews. If you pay a running back a king’s ransom, he better be more of a leader than spraying aerosol in people’s faces, and then running and hiding when things go sour.
That immaturity is the main issues Eatman has mentioned, and while I haven’t been there to see it first hand, I don’t think it helps the lockerroom atmosphere. Fraley might be on to something.
I'm sorry...
I don’t feel sorry for you because Marion Barber doesn’t bow down and help you conduct the type of interviews that you’d like.
Goes with the territory. You don’t have a constitutional right to a perfect interview. If your good at your job, you’ll get around it.
I have no idea with reporters think it’s worth our time to b!tch about someone who isn’t always nice to them.
Lord forbid if an athlete complained about the same treatment from reporters.
"They need security in the world, Craig!"
I would probably take this as nothing but...
like others here, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this.
I get why Fraley might not dig him that much. If you don’t want to give an interview don’t give an interview, but there is no reason to get the way of other peoples jobs.
I know the Lunch Break guys think that his act is getting old as well.

I'm not going to worry about it...
unless he starts acting like MartyB.
Heck, even Tashard pulls more immature stuff. But, since he gives interviews, nothing is said about it.
Rabid and luvin' it
I'm not worried about it really.
I just see why reporters are tired of his act.
Everyone on this board is quick to be like “oh this reporter is just being whiny” but I look at it like if I was trying to do my job and EVERY time this dude is interrupting that could get old really quickly.
