Dez hurts himself so other teammates dont feel left out
Dez Bryant has continued to be an amazing teamate by hurting himself in order to allow the other receivers a chance to catch some balls. What a guy. First he signs on time to be around them, the he doesnt want to take away from strengh training by carrying their pads. Now this. He even went so far as to really sprain his ankle instead of faking it. Nobel Prize please. He will probably help JG install some sweet plays while out healing his team building injury.
To add a little more seriousness to the post: How much will this hinder Dez's developement in the NFL? Missing all the preseason games and the rest of training camp hurts. But how much would he have gotten anyway? just 1st team? Maybe this will add another demension to his drive to succeed and prove others wrong? It will also give the other receivers time to shine. Dez is awesome and will replace Stephen in taken over the Boys

lmfao
seriously tho im not even worried about him not being there
because the kid is a f’n beast
beast status
amazing hands fast and big
he is so much faster than that bad 40 he ran because he had UA cleats
if he had Nikes that day he would of ran alot faster
silver linings
- other WRs get more reps
- no one gets tape of Dez in the preseason
- now he can’t get injured closer to the season when it might cause him to miss real games
- FF drafts he’ll drop in ADP and make great value because everyone won’t be seeing him make all these amazing catches in preseason and he’ll enter the season relatively under the radar…
My sentiments exactly
Never underestimate the power of a neck brace and wheelchair. In Donnie Walsh I trust!
You do realize..
That every time a B.S. post like this is made, it pushes a legitimate post down? Not hatin’.. but come on.. put a little more thought into it… something worth discussion.
FEAR the STAR...it's all or nothing.... time to COWBOY UP.
dude chill out
its just a Post to put a lighter spin on Dez’s injury.

I kind of get what he's saying though.

Yeah it is.
And I definitly got a chuckle out of it, but I get what he’s saying to an extent. Although I’d argue if your post is good enough and people want to read it then you’ll get recs and be moved up anyways.
I personally blame Terry for Dez’s injury.

Dez is art fault for his injury. If only he was a better person, an upstanding citizen, he'd never get hurt

Please, Please, Please tell me that you are joking

No, I do not
But of course you do. Your use of emoticons, coupled with your schoolgirl crushes on the ‘cute’ Tony Romo and the ‘dreamy’ Sean Lee, are proof beyond a reasonable doubt that you are a fourteen year old girl. Are you looking forward to your sophomore year of high school?

Personally...
If someone else had been the one that made that statement I would probably have thought it was a joke.

I find that hystyerical considering ur probably half my age
BTW, how I wish I was was back in high school with the knowledge and experience I have now…that would simply be awesome.

So for you, use of emoticons equates with being a sophomore in high school?
Child, please. Perhaps you’re just too old to really “get” this internet thing.
I guess it’s just too much to ask for us all to talk about Cowboys football without going on a tirade about how emoticons make one a high-school girl.

Yes, grown men do not use emoticons. They also do not drink wine coolers.
I have some other rules which I can share with you, but I am guessing that you’d object to them as well.
Do you really believe that one must use emoticons in order to be conversant with the internet? Really?

Not particularly.
I just find it ridiculous that you do the same things that you wreck on Tex for.
While I’m sure you were halfway joking, why would you joke about a player and a DALLAS COWBOY like that?
If Tony Romo had broken his finger and Tex came on here and made the same kind of comment, you would be calling him a moron and everything else.

+1
I was one of the loudest critics of even the thought of drafting Dez. I wasn’t pleased with the pick at the time either because Bryan Bulaga was still available and I felt T was more of a need.
But, I got over it. Dez has done well off the field by saying the right things and getting into camp on time for a decent price. His performance on the field has been everything one could expect from a rookie WR and more.
I’m willing to support him and sit back and enjoy the show as long as he keeps doing what he’s doing.
Rabid and luvin' it
I don't hate Dez, I just wish his attitude was better
and hopefully as he matures it will be.

Honestly, Terry...I think you will end up really liking Dez.
All he talks about is playing football. He’s a good kid in a good spot with the proper support and push around him.

As long as he keeps his head on straight
you’re probably right. I just was put off by him feeling “entitled” that he didn’t have to carry anyone’s pads.
While I realize that the Dez homers defended by saying it was because the player asking was RW or that he didn’t know that it’s NFL tradition, I don’t believe that for one second.
If he assumes the attitude and work ethic of guys like Romo, Austin and Witten, I will most certainly become a huge fan.
In Romo we Trust
Is there any evidence whatsoever that his work ethic is lacking?

There is nothing that documents that.
Work ethic and attitude were never a problem with the dude at OK State.
Maturation maybe, but not attitude.

I may be late to this convo, but I don't remember carrying pads being Cowboys tradition.
Usually, the little kids on the sideline or the players’ kids get to do that. The Cowboys cut hair and do water pranks and such.
IMO, Roy pulled a “I’m a moron; look at me” when he brought those out to Dez while Dez was being interviewed. He’s like Matthew McConaughey’s character on Dazed and Confused—sometimes funny, but ironically disappointing.
That whole deal was all Roy but the focus and scrutiny fell on Dez.

That Terry has spent time in New Orleans?
