Cowboys Sign TE DajLeon Farr, Expected to Waive Kevin Brock
From Todd Archer:
Farr, 6-5, 256 pounds, signed with San Diego as an undrafted free agent and was released on Aug. 3. A Houston native, he started his college career at Miami before transferring to Memphis. He finished with 24 catches for 210 yards. His ability to learn the system should not be that hard considering Jason Garrett borrows healthily from Norv Turner's playbook.

DajLeon Farr still has a lot of unused potential
As a four-star recruit coming out of high school, Dajleon Farr had the supreme misfortune of playing in the Larry Coker regime under the University of Miami’s horrible offensive coordinators — in Patrick Nix and Rich Olson and a sorry-ass qb in Kyle Wright. I didn’t blame him for transferring to Memphis.
Farr is a very good blocker and a viable red zone target. He displayed great hands while at “da U.” It’s a shame, for he could’ve really developed and extremely benefited from better coaching in college.
In my honest opinion, I still believe he has some upside — mainly because of what I just stated in my first paragraph above.
If Farr makes the most of his opportunity in Big D — and somehow makes the team — I believe that he could truly develop under TE coach John Garrett. And who knows, he could have an NFL career as a backup tight end.
We shall see.
Is playing smart too much to ask?

Good stuff, silver.
They at least need a PS guy that they can bring up if needed during the season

Good stuff SB
That’s encouraging info. A year getting to play in the Chargers offense behind Gates doesn’t hurt either.
Thank you #22, for everything you did for the Cowboys. There will never be another one like you.
