Jason Williams Play by play
Jason Williams is going to be an interesting guy that I cant wait to see this year. Here are his play by plays.
1st and 10 own 10 Play action pass, Williams bites for one step on play action, pass out quickly, Williams not a factor in the play.
1st and 10 own 21 Sweep left, Williams flows with the play engages guard and slips off block to make the tackle.
2nd and 7 own 23 , pass play, Williams on delayed blitz, looks like his timing was off, he is ineffective in the blitz
3rd and 7 own 23 pass, Williams blitzes into the guard and gets stoned at the line.
1st and 10 own 8 Draw play, Williams engages the guard and throws him to the ground and gets in on tackle.
2nd and 7 own 11 run off right guard, Williams moves through traffic and is in hole to make tackle but Hamlin beats him there on blitz, Good play by both guys.
3rd and 5 own 12 Shotgun pass, Screen set up, Williams reads the play splits double team by guard and center and forces the QB to throw the ball in the turf, Williams had great coverage.

1st and 10 own 20 Run off right guard, Guard engages Williams he is a little slow to shed the block but does, Williams not a factor in the play.
2nd and 7 own 23 Pass, Williams in zone coverage pass goes deep, Williams not a factor in the play,
3rd and 7 own 23 pass, Williams in zone coverage pass goes deep, Williams not a factor in this play either.
1st and 10 own 38 Pass, Int by Cowboys, Williams reads the rout and makes a move but he is pre ceded by the other Williams who pickls off the pass, Jason Williams was in position to make a play on the ball too..
1st and 10 20 Pass, Williams has good coverage on tight end across middle into flat. Pass goes elsewhere.
2nd and 2 own 28neal down, trying to catch a cowboy offside’s,
3rd and 3 own 27 Run Sweep, Williams gets blocked in the back and knocked to the ground, he’s not a factor in the play.
1st and 10 own 35 Pass, Williams comes on a delayed blitz, times this blitz better and really shows some speed, QB forced to throw ball away.
2nd and 10 own 35 Pass, Williams covers running back out of backfield, Dallas sack.
3rd and 15, Pass, Williams not on screen in deep zone.
1st and 10 own 1 Run middle, Williams engages Tackle, slips off block and makes tackle.
2nd and 8 own three, pass, Int for Dallas TD, Williams is standing right behind our rookie who got the int and would have made the play if not for the rookie.
1st and 10 own 23 run left, Williams engages tackle and slips off the block, he does not make the tackle but there is an encouraging theme to his getting off blocks.
2nd and 5 own 28 Pass, Williams covers the tight end over the middle, Williams has good coverage.
1st and 10 own 35, Pass, Williams in deep zone, he is off the screen and not a part of the play.
2nd and 10 own 35 Pass, Receiver catches ball over middle and is immediately tackled by Williams, looks like a prevent defense.
3rd and 10 own 35 Williams lines up as outside line backer, tight end cut blocks him to the ground. Williams is blocked out of the play.
1st and 10 Nickel defense, Williams in deep zone, makes tackle after catch, Prevent again.
1st and 10 Pass, QB scrambles, Williams closes on QB with a quickness, he pops the QB for a one yard loss. Williams is fast!
2nd and 11 Pass, Williams in deep zone not on screen.

I am rather surprised by Williams, not one bad play and was only effectively blocked once the whole game, but on the other hand the Bengal’s didn’t put any effort into trying to get the ball to their TE’s or running backs. The Bengal’s were trying to work the Wide outs the whole game.
Williams shed his blocks and showed good speed but his coverage skills were not tested in this game.
