Add Martin Rucker's name to DajLeon Farr and Jason Pociask as tight ends the Cowboys have signed over the past week. Having Martellus Bennett and Scott Sicko out, along with the injury to John Phillips, the team was in desperate need of players at a once deep position. Rucker (6'5", 260) is considered to be somewhat of a receiving TE and was a fourth-round pick of the Browns in 2008. But like Leon Williams, Rucker was a victim of the Eric Mangini housecleaning and was waived early last season. Rucker caught 203 balls in his college career at Missouri. To make room for Rucker, the Cowboys released QB Matt Nichols. It looks as if Stephen McGee will get in some more work this preseason.
