Preseason Game #3: Cowboys @ Chargers Open Thread

Robert Brewster! Hip, hip, hooray! Montrae Holland! Hip, hip, hooray!

Here we go! It's been been over a week now that we've seen this 2010 version of the Dallas Cowboys. This game will be interesting as the starters are expected to play close to the full first half.

Among those starters, two offensive linemen, Montrae Holland and Robert Brewster, get their shot with the first group. Then, the pro debuts of rookies Sean Lee and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah should also draw intrigue.

Open thread time...preseason game #3 for the Cowboys!

It'll likely be up right before gametime.

I’ll be watching on NFL.com Preseason Live. It costs some money, but the quality is awesome and it syncs up the Cowboys radio feed with the video.

How about this stat line?

McNabb is 8 for 21 in the first half, for 162 yards and an interception.

thats par for the course for McNabb for the last 3 years

a great big play qb, and otherwise an average passer at best.

Really!?

I guess I should have stuck with the game a little longer. I thought he was done after that 3rd drive.

I can't wait to see S. Lee and AOA

Out on the field. I’m keeping my eye on the CB and LB spots (especially Lee and J. Williams). Obviously the O-line is a huge deal, but for some reason the D is where I want to focus.

I am so glad to be back where I get all the Dallas preseason coverage.

I just wish Jerry didn’t reserve such a long time for the announcers to fawn over him.

I had a large appreciation for McNabb in the early 2000s, but I think his play has really dropped off after the injuries. I haven’t feared him in a long time.

by foyesboys on Aug 21, 2010 7:47 PM CDT up reply actions

McNabb had a serviceable night...

His moments of brilliance mixed in with his moments of head-scratchery. At least he didn’t skip any passes in to the receivers.
