Justin Hartwig perhaps?
According to This Story on profootballtalk.com (By way of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette), first rounder Maurkice Pouncy has taken the starting center job from incumbent Justin Hartwig.
With the lack of depth on our own O-Line, particularly on the interior, does it make sense to try and reach an agreement to send a low-round pick to the Steelers for a former starter that Pittsburgh may not want to pay $2 million dollars to while he rides the pine? Again, I'm purely speculating (esp. because I'm not sure if Hartwig is also comfortable manning a guard spot), but it could be an avenue to providing depth at a much needed position. I figured I'd put this question out there to the many bloggers on here that have a great deal more knowledge than I.

He turns 32 during the season, so he’d fit in nicely with the other Dallas OL geezers, haha.
Anyway, I’m not so sure how willing the Steelers would be to give up depth along their own OL for a late pick.
might be a player the eagles go for?
looking a little thin on the interior, as well.

slim chance
Only if they (or any other team) have a need at a position we’re deep at. Otherwise, the only additions to the OL will probably come off waivers after the final cut.

yeah thats not gonna happen
Steelers lack depth as it is hence the flo signing so why give away a guy that knows your system.
Really?! Really?!
Saints have a C
Leckey? that might not make the roster, could be a fit with Costa to develop on the practice squad.
Agreed
I posted a Fanshot to the ESPNDallas story about JRat working extra with Costa like Ware did with Free last season. If one of the best NT’s in the league sees something in him, I’m not going to sell him short.
Rabid and luvin' it
during their last preseason game
i heard an announcer say that Hartwig graded out as the worst run blocker among starting centers last season. No clue if that is correct….maybe someone should consult the Almighty KC Joyner, AKA Jesus, AKA the smartest guy in the history of mankind.

True enough
at least according to ProFootballFocus.com. While they have now turned into a pay site, last season they ranked Hartwig 34th and last out the starting Centers in the league.
Hartwig allowed 7 sacks last year, far and away the most of any center. Excluding Hartwig, the 33 other center on the list allowed an average of 1.3 sacks each – per season.
