not a great tackle attempt by jenkins
but thats not an easy play

Wothless to have all those TE and WR and Romo if the line cant run block and cant give romo ore than 1.5 secs.

This is the first preseason game I’ve watched and I am floored. This is terrible. I see people posting about it’s preseason, we’re playing vanilla..etc. Really? I guess we’re the only team. Every other team has managed to at least look competent and score touchdowns with their offense. We have struggled to do anything. At some point you have to execute. Now I know why I was concerned with us not addressing the O-Line issue in the draft. Why wouldn’t this game mean something to us? It’s the governor’s cup. They need to have some pride for God’s sake.

but I see J Williams and McCray in there, we are definitely not playing the starters right now
I know, but Hamlin and Church are supposed to be in there instead of McCray
and Lee instead of Williams. Butler is in there right now too

We got a problem Houston!
If this is the dress rehersal for the season, and the O-line is oging to play like this, Romo is going to need a moped to escape the rush!
It's not the rehersal
most of the defensive starters are already out
by Musiccitynorm on Aug 28, 2010 7:56 PM CDT up reply actions
The defense is less of a problem
in the third down situations we went soft, anyone would find the hole with that much time in real games we bring heat. That said our offense, especialy the line, are getting destroyed
Well, RW is the offense so far tonite

At least you guys don’t have any injury heart attacks. In addition to the Eagles’ terrible play, DeSean Jackson got hurt and Trent Cole was carted off the field (turns out they’re both fine).
ha ha ha. That’s new for me, but I’ll take it.

by Cowboysaficionado on Aug 28, 2010 8:11 PM CDT reply actions
Man
they are just eating us up on those inside routes
I remember reading somewhere that Jenkins chooses whether or not to bump or play off.
He’s get burnt by the slant and drag constantly, why would he not start bumping? Or is that more vanillaness?
why was jenkings playing so far off?
why are we still playing starters if we’re not going to actually play hard…
because
they can see the texans receivers in action without letting the texans know how we’re going to cover them come week 3
I believe this something akin to Sun Tzu's Art of War. Make your opponent show their hand before you give em anything
It's only a dream till you write it down, and then it becomes a goal.
-Emmitt Smith
Notice the Cowboys are not running many inside patterns yet/
We should be able to punish receivers for inside routs.
Golden Rule: He who has the gold makes the rules.
If this real, look at the bright side...
We’ll be picking an offensive lineman in the first 10 to 15 picks next year, if not higher. LOL.
D line vanilla?
It looks like our d-line is just driving straight ahead. No swim moves, etc. How vanilla is that or am I just not seeing us really working technique.
Maybe if
we hold them to a field goal Wade will think that was a turnover
wade said more than a few times before this game that he wasnt going to show them anything
i dont know why people still take this as a dress rehearsal for us

not sure that made a difference

alright
im outta here just remember this vanilla when we are 2-0 and crush texans 62-8
Really?! Really?!
Whew... I thought for a minute there...
that Tony had pulled a muscle in his leg…
we didn' have much of a chance on that play
choice not getting out of bounds the play before hurt.
my thoughts exactly
Choice had a chance to go out of bounds but cut back inside. not much of a chance after that. good completion by romo to austin though.
They called a TO after the Choice play
It was the wait wait wait throw it away play that hurt before the long completion
1-10-DAL 30(:32) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short left to T.Choice to DAL 47 for 17 yards (G.Quin).
Timeout #3 by DAL at 00:22.
1-10-DAL 47(:22) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short middle to P.Crayton.
2-10-DAL 47(:16) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass deep middle to M.Austin to HOU 23 for 30 yards (B.Pollard).
I'll take 5 more yards closer for Buehler anyday.
The problem was the next play where no one got open and Romo had to chuck it away
The only bright side here is that no one got hurt, otherwise a terribly discouraging half of football. The worst of the preseason yet.
Joseph O. Garcia
This is the worst the Cowboys have looked since 44-6
Not that the importance and circumstances of the two games begin to equate, but it’s a long time.
Is it NFL time yet?
I was thinking the same thing Grady.

You’ve got way too much time on your hands, BTW.
stop saying we..cuz ya aint playing the game ...your watching and relax it aint over yet
maybe they will put out their second team to see if the cowboys first team can beat them
but the OL for the cowboys stunk in my opinion
This is PATHETIC
I’ve been defending the “vanilla game plan” for all the preseason games ( I live in Redskin country). But, this game against the Texans is a pathetic effort all around. The Cowboys better get their head out or there won’t be playoffs even….
