Given he’s a future doctoral student, I wonder if he would tolerate with being put on the PS. If he doesn’t make the final 53, he might just walk and start working on his PhD. It’s a strange situation I’ve never seen before.

I wish I shared some of the optimism here

This is the first preseason game I’ve watched and I am floored. This is terrible. I see people posting about it’s preseason, we’re playing vanilla..etc. Really? I guess we’re the only team. Every other team has managed to at least look competent and score touchdowns with their offense. We have struggled to do anything. At some point you have to execute. Now I know why I was concerned with us not addressing the O-Line issue in the draft. Why wouldn’t this game mean something to us? It’s the governor’s cup. They need to have some pride for God’s sake.

game plan or not

this does not appear to be a Superbowl calibre team.

our OL will have trouble even colombo back….

before there was law, there were the Cowboys!!!

Its amazing

You would NEVER have seen Romo making that sneak in preseason… He might get hurt.

But they sneak Shaub…. With his injury history!

Man they want to win this game!

I'm beginning to think

it’s never going to happen for Felix.

My choice is Choice.

Or we can draft someone this year

by scotscowboyfan on Aug 28, 2010 8:21 PM CDT reply actions

do you blame them?

we haven’t been using any tactic to counter the blitz.

the WR screen was the most effective thing we used last year, especially against the Eagles.

not sure that made a difference

hopefully the lineman were already running upfield once he caught it

by foyesboys on Aug 28, 2010 8:27 PM CDT up reply actions

alright

im outta here just remember this vanilla when we are 2-0 and crush texans 62-8

Really?! Really?!

by thebigham on Aug 28, 2010 8:25 PM CDT reply actions

we didn' have much of a chance on that play

choice not getting out of bounds the play before hurt.

by foyesboys on Aug 28, 2010 8:26 PM CDT reply actions

my thoughts exactly

Choice had a chance to go out of bounds but cut back inside. not much of a chance after that. good completion by romo to austin though.

by Spaceball on Aug 28, 2010 8:27 PM CDT up reply actions

They called a TO after the Choice play

It was the wait wait wait throw it away play that hurt before the long completion

1-10-DAL 30(:32) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short left to T.Choice to DAL 47 for 17 yards (G.Quin).
Timeout #3 by DAL at 00:22.
1-10-DAL 47(:22) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short middle to P.Crayton.
2-10-DAL 47(:16) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass deep middle to M.Austin to HOU 23 for 30 yards (B.Pollard).

by kindablue on Aug 28, 2010 8:30 PM CDT up reply actions

stop saying we..cuz ya aint playing the game ...your watching and relax it aint over yet

maybe they will put out their second team to see if the cowboys first team can beat them
but the OL for the cowboys stunk in my opinion

by 0k on Aug 28, 2010 8:40 PM CDT reply actions

This is PATHETIC

I’ve been defending the “vanilla game plan” for all the preseason games ( I live in Redskin country). But, this game against the Texans is a pathetic effort all around. The Cowboys better get their head out or there won’t be playoffs even….
