Kyle Calloway, G released from the Bills
can play RT as well, very surprising they released him as the Bills are not that strong at O line. Draftniks were high on him prior to the draft not sure why he failed to impress in Buffalo.
could be a project for our O-line. Maybe we could sneak him on the practice squad if his ceiling is higher than Tepper or any other lineman the Cowboys may be planning on keeping for the practice squad.

If the Bills line is that awful,
and they don’t want him I just see red flags…

My thoughts exactly.

Glad to see the shoulders healing ; ) lol

I'm ashamed of myself for that comment.
I really vote for an edit button. Right after I hit post I slapped my forehead

sorry about that
now normally I would agree with you but the way our O-line has performed in recent games and given the age factor, injury prone factor, and what`s waiting in the wings factor, I went away and did one.
Wouldn't hurt...
to bring him in for a look. He’s shorter, slower and heavier than Young. He has played LG, LT and RT in college. Pat McQuistan 2.0? Had a DUI…on a moped(LOL).
I wouldn’t mind seeing if he’s a better G than Bright, Tepper or Brewster. Cut him if he isn’t.

They should jump all over this guy.
Don’t know what happened in Buffalo but this guy should be able to beat out the free agents trying to win a back-up job.
Kyle Calloway
Kyle Calloway OT Iowa
TALENT BOARD
Round 1
STRENGTHS
Kyle has excellent size, strength and feet to play his position. He is a right tackle with a left tackle heart. By that, I mean he takes pride in pass blocking and protecting his QB. He is a powerful run blocker and does a very good job blocking in space and moving to the next level. Most of the time he is not covered up when blocking on passing plays with a TE. He does not get overpowered when being bull rushed. Kyle is smart, shows mental stamina and does not get beat by the same move twice if he gets beat at all. I suspect that once Kyle works out at the combine, he will show enough athletic talent to play left tackle at the next level. However, even if he does not, Kyle (right now) shows Pro Bowl right tackle skills.
NEEDS TO IMPROVE
He is stronger than most of the players he plays against right now and does get up too high at times. He gets a little lazy when pass blocking once he drives his man past his QB and looks to help his line mates out a little too quickly. All of this is nit picking and can all be corrected.
BOTTOM LINE
I’m calling him Kyle (Right Away) Calloway because you can draft this kid and plug him into your offensive line at the right tackle position right away. He can play Right tackle in his sleep, but I believe he could also play the left tackle position also at a very high level. I will be surprised if by the time the draft comes around he is not considered a top draft choice, but I have been surprised before. You are talking about an offensive lineman who can pass block, run block, has the athletic agility to go out to the second level and combo block, can move out and block on screen plays and can be used in a pulling system. What more are you looking for in an offensive lineman? I suspect that playoffs teams at the end of the first round are going to be salivating over the possibility of drafting this kid. Kyle’s ability to play the left tackle position will dictate where he will be drafted. Workouts and a demonstration of his ability to switch to the other side will move him up the draft boards. For me, it won’t matter much…he is a first rounder and he will play right away.
What's the purpose of...
Copying and pasting something from someone that was THAT wrong?
Arnold, almost 5 years of good memories, you'll be missed.
Viva México! Go Cowboys!
I hold a lot of stock in this scouts opinion.
I did not see Calloway play but I read the profiles of most of the potential OL in the draft because the Cowboys really need help there. So who was wrong? The Bills or the scout? Since I really like the scout I have to wonder why the Bills cut this guy?
My reasoning is simple
The “scout” that you respect called him a 1st Round prospect, the NFL (32 teams) didn’t felt that he was worthy of anything above a 7th Round pick.
I’ll take their opinion over what any internet “scout” thinks.

I like the Huddle report too
But Boylhart has a very different take on some prospects. Out of sync with the other experts on his own site sometimes (but sometimes he nails it correctly, his Taylor Mays report was dead on)
In this case I would have to be concerned with the fact that BUF let him go, and they are one of the most tackle needy teams in the NFL. He might have an injury, or some issue we don’t know about. But it doesn’t hurt anything to bring him in for a look. I thought he’d be a 4th maybe 5th rd pick back in March/April.
BTW you need to cite the author when you copy a large passage like that. Just a heads up, BTB’s strict on copyright infringement. I know of at least one guy who was banned for repeatedly breaking the rule.
Thank you #22, for everything you did for the Cowboys. There will never be another one like you.
Thanks for the heads up on citing Drew Boylhart for his scouting report.
He misses on a few guys but he watches a lot of film and gives a really good analysis.
Really liked him going into the draft
I wouldnt mind bringing him in for a look. I trust Houck could give him a work out and determine if he’s worth a shot.
