Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.
So says the Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Or in the case of the Dallas Cowboys:
Weapons, Weapons, everywhere,
Nor any time to pass.
We have so many weapons, but they are all for naught if we don't have an offensive line to take advantage of them. This comes down to poor o-line GM'ing.
For years we have missed on offensive tackles in the draft. Even Doug Free was a near miss. We initially took Marten over him and only ended up taking him in the end because he fell into our laps later in the draft. Then in '09 we got cute. OT Phil Loadhoalt was sitting on the board and was clearly the best player available at the end of the second round. Instead we got cute and traded down for small schoolers Jason Williams then with our pick in the third we took OT Robert Brewster. I could go back much further, but I don't want to depress you all.

Loadholt could have had a star on his helmet
Our line is hurt and aging and there is no one behind them, and it all comes back to Jerry (and Parcells to a certain extent). If next Sunday when Colombo and Kosier come back and our o-line continues to put up another gutless performance, or Garrett has to game plan around them, then Jerry needs to do the right thing. He needs to trade for Logan Mankins.
He can play all 5 positions on the o-line and was a star left tackle in college (not that we need one of those). Please Jerry, do the right thing. GET MANKINS!
