Coach Wade Phillips has said both Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier will play in Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. There's no better thing for a Cowboys fan right now than to hear both Koiser and Colombo's names called in the starting lineup Sunday. Montrae Holland held his own last week, but getting our top five linemen back on the field will be a huge relief, even if they have to rotate with the subs for part of the game.
It's not all rosy in the injury department, though. We're going to be missing our starting FB Deon "Cricket" Anderson for a few weeks to a month because of a knee injury. With John Phillips out for the year, Anderson was taking on an expanded role. Now those reps will fall to Chris "Ski" Gronkowski. I liked 'Ski in camp, but mainly for special teams and his hustle. We get to see if he can execute properly under game conditions for a while. Let's go 'Ski.
In another injury story, ILB Sean Lee will likely miss the game with a hamstring injury. His possible replacement? Leon Williams, the man of the up-and-down pre-season. Some plays were awesome, some disaster. In this siutation, he'll likely be replacing Lee on special teams. Said Williams:
And for anybody wondering, DeMarcus Ware is all systems go for Sunday.
"That's what I'm focused on because I know that could change the game," Williams said. "Coach Joe (DeCamillis), he tells me all the time to make sure that I'm up on everything and know that I can make an impact on special teams."
