Whoever kidnapped the Dallas Cowboys, please return them...
We, as fans, appreciate that you also replaced them with a group of guys that were determined to win, but it just doesn't feel right to watch these unfamiliar people making plays against a team that they should beat. So, please, find it in your heart to return to us our beloved Dallas Cowboys...
In a game where I anticipated the death of our Dallas Cowboys against a very good, but far from invulnerable team, these impostors stepped onto the field and made play after play to keep the buzzards at bay for at least a few more weeks.
Wade Phillips? He's safe, now, but he can't let these Cowboys feel too good. They're a 1-2 team and they've got a long, difficult schedule in front of them. Don't get me started on our big d-linemen trying to cover people... This team as a whole looks so much better when things aren't so "creative." That in mind...
Jason Garret? You're the most infuriating play-caller ever. You design these ridiculous plays. You make the Cowboys run these ridiculous plays. But today, your game plan was solid and it was executed very well. Put your players in position to make plays - just like they did today - and maybe you'll get a few more headcoach interviews.
Roy Williams? I don't know what happened to this guy, but he's looked like a #1 receiver this year (some plays in Chicago excluded). Did hearing the footsteps of Dez Bryant get him motivated to succeed? I don't know, but we may see this guy next season if he keeps this up.
Marion Barber? You didn't look as slow as usual today and you did a nice job on the run plays where you had a chance of doing anything. Nice pass protection, too!
David Buehler? Sir, I don't know if we'll ever be able to trust you when we need you to make a kick for us to win the game, but when it comes to adding to a lead, you're in good shape. Whatever happened to the automatic touchbacks, though?
The people who needed to respond to criticism in this game all did. They cut down on the penalties as the game wore on, had big plays going for them almost every other play, and generally looked like the team we expected them to be. This raises that annoying question which I think we all have on our minds; why is it that the Cowboys play so well when everyone says they have no shot, but the moment they become favorites they choke royally?
I'll leave that question open to everyone else, but I want to finish with this note: Dez Bryant is a beast. He looks as good as advertised out there and had two touchdowns taken away - one where he was just barely out of bounds after making the spinning, leaping catch and the other where he was forced out of bounds. But he continued to fight off corner backs and work for the first downs. He's big, he's strong, he's fast, and he likes having the ball in his hands when the Cowboys need to make a play.

Romo and the defense were amazing
but you got it all wrong, the guys playing against the redskins and Bears were the imposters.
The team that played the Texans are the real Cowboys!
In Romo we Trust
This
guy Terry knows what he’s talkin about.

Agreed, the real imposters
Showed up in the Vikings playoff game, the entire pre-season, and the first 2 games of the season.
It's only a dream till you write it down, and then it becomes a goal.

I was impressed with the O-line
Not one sack and never any real pressure. This team CAN and SHOULD run more.

It also helps to have the elusive Tony Romo and some great blocking TEs.
I think our offensive gameplan as a whole has done a great job to make our O-line go from serviceable to very good through three games.

Thanks Roy.
A great game all around...
Nice tongue and cheek there sir…Good read for sure
A couple of notes
I will probably have a fanpost about this in a couple of days..But, I was amazed at how simple the offense looked out there today. In fact, the defense as well.
Occasionally, I feel like the guys are so mixed up in these complicated playbooks and assignments that they forget to just get out there and go beat their guy with talent. Today, it seemed they got back to the basics and just went out and played. The result was a game that looked very easy for them…I’d like to see this a little more…

If you notice....
The individual (s) responsible for this team wide kidnapping have NOT come forward with ransom demands. Hence I believe the prime suspect behind this secretive operation may very well be one Mr. Jerry Jones. If I should go missing next I hope they stick me in a cell next to Keith Brooking…I hear he’s quite the conversationalist.
