Sean Lee NOT going to play nickel when he returns.
This is a bit disheartening to me. I was hoping his younger legs would keep up where Keith is starting to falter. He IS slated to come in on base defense downs to spell Keith, though.

wow so we are still looking for a nickel back in '11
Well lets hope lee is a younger brooking then
Really?! Really?!
Not necessarily.
I think it’s more a lack of playing time/experience in camp vs. a lack of ability to ever play the position on those downs. He’s got the motor, range and decent instincts. He just hasn’t had the reps against various coverages in live action to make the coaches comfortable enough with him just yet. If the unthinkable were to happen to put Brooking on the bench, I bet you’d see Lee get the snaps to learn on the fly…especially if Williams & Williams continue to struggle.
Rabid and luvin' it
"I don’t think he’s suited for that role," Phillips said.
“suited for” kind of implies he doesn’t have the physical tools for it.
And Brooking does?
From all accounts I’ve read, Lee is about the same size as, is faster than and quicker than Brooking.
