KDP'S TEN FOR TEN: Wk 3 results, Wk 4 contest and your best source of predictions on the interwebby

Bask in it. That light that is shining through the clouds is the sun beaming in on the Dallas Cowboys franchise for the first time in 9 months. Think about that, it's been almost 9 months since this team gave you a week of hapiness. That's alot of stress on a fan, how are we to work through something like that?

As usual, if you want to go straight to the contest proceed to the jump.

----------------------------------------------------------

Big victory over the Texans on Sunday- because of all the hoopla surrounding our team, the national media isn't even taking the time to speak on the fact that we went on the road and completely dominated a supposed SB caliber team. Completely. That's a big deal in the NFL, that is flying under the radar because we are going into a bye. Good.

Picking Winners against the spread:

Week 2: 2-0

Week 3: 3-1

---------------------------------------------------------

I made it to Dover, DE after a one week delay. For those of you that are east coasters, I'd recommend making a trip if it's within reasonable driving distance. We went to Harrington Raceway and Casino, and not Dover Downs. I actually didn't make it into the sportsbook, we sat at a bar in the casino itself that had touchscreen betting.... AWESOME. slide your money in, pick your parlays and teasers and sit back and enjoy the multiple screens. Since I've returned, I've learned that the sportsbook isn't as limited as the machines in parlay options but the rules are the same. You cannot bet on a games outright winner. You cannot bet over under. You cannot bet on a single game. You can pick 3 or more teams, minimum $2 wager, and pick a 1/2 pt parlay, teaser or superteaser. For the record, the Cardinals cost me a lucrative parlay for winning by less than 4.5...  Good news is Harrington has a small NL Hold Em room and walked away with 7x my buy in during the course of the 4 oclock games... Now that is love!

Very tough games to pick this week, as the Vegas Brain Trust is getting a good feel for the season now. IMHO, the bye weeks are the toughest to gamble during. Less teams means less one-sided matchups, plus the reason I just stated.

Chargers (-8)

Cardinals @ Chargers (-8) (O/U 45.5): The Chargers are off to their usual slow start, but last week's loss was an abberation. Two return TD's? That's fluke and they bounce back big at home this week against the quarterbackless Cardinals.

Chicago (+3.5)

Chicago (+3.5) @ NY Giants (O/U 44): Things aren't looking good for the Giants and I'm not sure what Vegas is seeing right now. NY is in disarray and has leadership and discipline problems. They have 36 turnovers in their last 14 games and had 18 penalties last week. Trust me- they'll play the NFC East tough, but this isn't a good team right now.

Steelers (-1)

Ravens @ Steelers (-1)(O/U 34.5): OK, this is a tough call. The Steelers are doing better than anyone thought because their defense is back(yes, they are my FF defense so I'm proud). Aaron Smith and Polamalu have returned and they are dominating. The Ravens barely beat the Browns, but Boldin broke out for 3 scores... Ray Rice is nicked... I'm not believing in the Ravens just yet- later in the season probably a different story, but I don't think they are winning in Pittsburgh this year.

THIS WEEKS RADIO PICK WAS: Eagles over Skins straight up.

follow the jump for the Week 4 contest, and rec'it if ya like it.

Star-divide

Cool, so on to TEN FOR TEN. You know the game. A 10 team parlay of all straight up bets will often result in winning $10,000 for  a $10 bet. I make one of these bets every week and the contest here is to see who can be the first to go 10 for 10. Pick 10 winners of any game on the week 4 schedule. Here are the results for those that picked last week. The number in (parenthesis) after the name indicates their total score going into the week. The way things are shaping up, I'll award a prize to the first person that goes 10 for 10, and the winner at the end of the season.

Last weeks best picker: Three way tie with 8 correct picks; BenThere, levcd, and APerfectStar. congrats folks.

Overall leader: Your boy still leads the way, but things are tightening up. KDP +20. Creasy729 is a close second at +19. BishopWest, levcd and thebigham are tied for 3rd with +18 and the man atop the power rankings in BenThere. Only +15, but he missed Week 1 and has been tied for best picker two weeks in a row. Can he close the gap?

I ... must ... resist

I have the power to remove comments, threads and even whole fanposts. Time to clear out all the Romo haters, false fanposters, the Parcells-quoting revisionist crowd and other nattering nabobs of negativism.

But I must wield the power wisely and never in anger, lest that power turn on me.
