Hey everybody. I know we're all excited about the draft, and we have many ideas for what the Cowboys should do. Just for fun, what is your dream scenario on draft day? How would you handle the draft? Here's a scenario I would enjoy:
Round 1- Trade back into the mid to late teens and pick up another second round pick. Draft OT Derek Sherrod
Round 2- Pick one, In a dream scenario Rahim Moore falls to the boys, but I don't think that will happen. Cowboys draft best available safety to address the secondary. Cowboys pick Satety Kenny Tate from Maryland.
Pick 2 of round 2- Cowboys add some more youth to the aging O-line. Benjamin Ijalana from Villanova. He played tackle in college, but he projects to guard in the NFL. Big, tough guys who can play multiple positions on the line always make for a solid draft pick.
Round 3- We've addressed our o line and secondary, now let's get a big body for the DL. We just miss out on Baylor DT Phil Taylor, so we select Jerrell Powe, DT from Ol Miss.
Round 4- Hard to project what will be out there at this point, but I think there will a lot of quality LBs in this round. The Cowboys draft LB Casey Matthews out of Oregon and hope he can turn into half the player his brother is.
There's a lot of ways the Cowboys can go, and I'm excited to see what they do. What do you guys want us to do with our first few picks?
