Now that the season is over everyone is trying their hand at coming up with ways they could turn the Cowboys around. Cap math is a wierd thing, but going by the rotoworld numbers here is what you have to spend:
$22 million in 2011 contracts are expected to be dumped this offseason
Roy Williams - $5.5
Leonard Davis - $6
Marion Barber - $4.5
Marc Colombo - $2
Alex Barron - $2.5
Gerald Sensabaugh $1.8
There is also one other big contract that may or may not be kept. Terrence Newman - $8 million.
So now you're the Cowboys general manager. You have either $22 million or $30 million to spend in free agency depending on whether or not you keep Terrence Newman on your team.
What is your plan in free agency to rebuild this franchise into a superbowl champion before Romo, Ware, Ratliff, and Austin are past their primes?
