In the immortal words of someone that said something, Jeezy Peezy.
I can't believe that I forgot to submit my entry in my own contest! Seeing how I had a great bounce back week in my odds post, I think I wasted a perfect opportunity to climb the leaderboard. Last week was hectic, and it looks like a lot of other folks took the bye week off.
First things first, another huge thanks goes out to BTB member hookerhome, who is tabulating the results for us each week. For a complete overview at the results and trends from Week Five, check out his thorough Fan Post here. The amount of analysis hookerhome puts into the summary is outstanding.
[Note] The comments section from his FP showed that several people missed the post last week because it went up a little earlier than prior weeks. O.C.C. suggested that you change the setting on your profile to view more front page articles, sage advice. I will also start including a link to the weekly contest post in my other weekend articles.[/Note]
Week Five saw three entries go 9 for 10, as HH discussed in his piece on Tuesday.
Here's a look at the 10 for 10 Hall of Fame.
|SINGLE WEEK '10 FOR 10' HALL OF FAME|
|I Am Ironman!!!||2011||2|
|BishopWest||2010||Reigning Season Champ|
Low and behold, BishopWest has joined the leadership group for the 2011 season after Week 5. He's in a four-way tie at the top, and trust me... once he gets a share of the lead he is a hard man to bring down.
Pick 10 games, pick the winner. That simple. Follow the jump for the contest rules, this week's game and the all important leaderboard.
1 - You must only pick 10 games. If you pick more than 10, I will score the first 10. If you pick less than 10, then you need more fingers to count on; all non-picks will be scored as wrong.
ii) You must make your entry as a reply to the post, not another comment. I will only go down the left margin when scoring. Anything indented will get no love here, playa.
B: You must include the entire matchup in your entry. Simply BOLD the team in the matchup you are picking to win. No lists of only the winners you pick. If you want me to take the time to score your entry, take the time to format it correctly. It's easy, just copy and paste the matchups from the post, then highlight your pick and hit the B button.
3. YOU MUST PREDICT A WINNER OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS GAME IN YOUR TEN PICKS. New rule for 2011 and front page status.
D - Hit the preview button, because once it's submitted, that's it- there's no turning back.
D v2.0 - Picks must be in before the early games of Sunday kickoff. No exceptions. If you're including Thursday night's game in your picks but not ready to pick Sunday's game, post 'THURSDAY GAME ONLY' in your subject line.
Week Six is the second week of the slim pickings section of the schedule, as the Cardinals, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Seahawks and Titans are sitting on the sidelines due to their bye weeks. There are only 13 games to choose from this week, so anyone that manages to go 10 for 10 is really doing something now.
