Too Close For Comfort

This is the third game this season that we've somehow found a way to bungle a lead in the 4th. This is getting comical. And I am telling you right now, that this isn't funny anymore. If this team can't get it's head out of it's anus we'll be sitting at home watching the playoffs. Nobody can blame Tony Romo for this one folks. He played a smart game and turned the ball over less times than Tom Brady. I will however blame our "Genius" of a head coach Jason Garrett. Yes he's rather new at this coaching game, and I actually think he could turn out great for us. Remember Sean Peyton didn't start off great either. But his god awful red zone playcalling needs to end. NOW. It's painful to see this team tear the opponent's defense a new butt and then get 3 points to show for it. At least we have a kicker that can get those three points on the board now. But if this team is going to get to the playoffs and not be one and done, we need to put 7's on the board not 3's. Especially against high powered offenses like New England.

I mean what more can you ask from your defense? When in the world is holding the Pats to 13 points for three quarters not enough to win? When you have a complete moron at Head Coach. Yes. I know it's harsh. But it's true.(For the moment that is..) Jason Garrett has done this way too many times now for me to give him a pass. He needs to stop getting cute when it counts. Sure. A shovel pass on 3rd and goal might not be predictable, but does that mean you should still do it? HECK NO. Another stupid play call in the red zone. We have to be near dead last in red zone efficiency. I would rather have a team with an average offense(I.E. SF) that gets it done in the red zone, rather than an explosive offense that runs out of gas when it gets there.

I do love the fight in this team though, and that's one of the reasons I have hope that this team can turn it around. But we have got to score in the redzone and finish games. Yes. Jason's play calls gave us a chance in the first place. But we should have blown out the Pats by 20 with 4 turnovers handed to us. I am tired of cutting it close, and settling for moral victories because I know that this team has the potential to do a lot better than it is. And that is the most frustrating thing of all. All this potential and we're sitting at 2-3. There is no reason why we should lose to St. Louis next week. But at this point I wouldn't be surprised if we do.

I am tired of not knowing who this team really is. Is it the team that gutted out tough victories against SF, and WA or is it the team that has blown a lead in the 4th quarter three times. Sadly, right now I vote for the latter. Get it done Boys. I still believe in you. But I don't know how many more close calls I can take. But it makes for an exciting season though.

So hang on folks because the rest of this season is gonna be a wild ride.
