Hello there, BTB:
Here comes the JUMP!
Obviously Sunday night has the makings of a great match-up. After last year didn't go so great for you guys, I feel like it's been awhile since we've seen a high-stakes Eagles/Cowboys game. At 3-3, you guys are chasing the top spot in the division among the 4-2 Giants. After a disappointing (and largely unexpected) 2-4 start for the Eagles, we're just looking to get closer to .500 so we can possibly go on a run. I'm writing the Redskins off, since I don't think they have a good enough QB and they just lost some key players (Santana Moss, Tim Hightower, London Fletcher) to injury.
Personal thoughts on the game: I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not confident that the Eagles are a good team. So far our 2 wins have come over terrible teams (Rams, Redskins), and I need to see more out of them before I believe they're really starting to turn their season around. That being said, I think they can beat the Cowboys. I think it'll be a close game, as most good divisional rival match-ups are, either way.
Quickly worth noting is that the Eagles are coming off their BYE, and under Andy Reid, they are unbeaten the week after the BYE (a perfect 12 for 12). Also worth nothing is that the Eagles haven't won a home game since 12/2/10, which is when they defeated the Houston Texans last season. ...So maybe they're due for a home victory? We'll see.
Let's use this thread as as opportunity for ('friendly') trash talk, Q&A, and any other related Eagles/Cowboys discussion material. I'll personally try to answer any Eagles related question that you may have.
(PS: Don't forget to "rec" this thread so that it stays up in the "Recommended FanPosts" area. Thanks!)
