Cowboys @ Eagles: Final Injury Report
The final injury report is out for this Sunday's game with the Philadelphia Eagles. As we've known, Felix Jones is definitely out. But another running back's injury problems could make the position thin on Sunday. Tashard Choice, the only experienced back on the active roster, is questionable with a shoulder injury. He didn't practice on Friday, instead he had an MRI. That means rookies DeMarco Murray and Phillip Tanner could be handling the duties, that worked out pretty well last week.
Jason Hatcher, Kyle Kosier and Derrick Dockery are questionable but should be available. Don't worry about Mat McBriar, he looks good-to-go. But in the other kicking area, David Buehler says he'll be active on Sunday. I guess they could use Choice's spot if he doesn't play.
The Eagles are healthy.
Full report below...
DALLAS COWBOYS

QUESTIONABLE RB Tashard Choice (shoulder), G Derrick Dockery (knee), DE Jason Hatcher (calf), G Kyle Kosier (foot)

FULL PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE Friday K David Buehler (right groin), S Barry Church (shoulder), P Mat McBriar (left foot), QB Tony Romo (ribs)
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

just because i cant stand choice and tree
i would love to see beuhler catching passes out the backfield or the WR #4 slot and making punt team tackles.

If Carter is to activated when would we know?
I would think they would have to make a decision on who will be cut before the flight to Philly.
I won't.
Because he wont. I’m pretty sure he’ll kick a ball out of bounds. He also represents another player that could be available to the team, but is taken away due to our owner’s hubris.
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.

As you'd say
Its straight garbage dude.
I just don’t get it. I really think its Jerry not wanting to admit a mistake.

Don't think it was a mistake
to give Buehler a roster spot in the first place; now, on the other hand, it is a mistake to keep him. Difference being one Mr Bailey and an exceptional performance thus far. Kudos to the guy (Garrett?) who was wise enough to bring a bunch of kickers to camp (not just Bailey) to find one good kicker that would allow us to fill 2 roster spots.
There are some that are keen to cut a player a year too early rather than a year too late
Jerry has a knack of cutting his players a year too late,

You mean like
when he cut Folzel Adams a year too early?
If the play works, never run it again. If it fails, keep running it.
First and goal at the one. Run it three times in a row, and then kick a field goal. Sound familiar?
he had to, I havent seen a WR with so many drops and for some reason
he was never on the same page with Romo
He's not on the same page with Cutler
He’s not on the same page as the NFL. He’s a bad wide receiver.
Roy Williams = Braylon Edwards
He had one good season and 7 very disappointing ones. Just a bad wide receiver.

So, if Bailey gets injured,
you dont want someone that we already know can kick it thru the endzone to be ready to go.
I dont think it is so cut and dry that he should be cut. Parcells used to give the percentages for when a team ALWAYS starts at the 20 and when they just start at the 25 instead, it made a very significant difference.
If the play works, never run it again. If it fails, keep running it.

you know
I hate to say this but Choice needs to find a hole and crawl up into a ball
idk what RB’s are out there but I would rather have a guy off the street than Tashard Choice, he’s useless, every time he carries the ball I wonder if he is going to fumble or do something incredibly stupid, like going out of bounds like he did against the Redskins
Choice has fallen really far and I hate to see it end like this, what a shame

Chia a different perspective.
The Choice injury will force Dallas to play Tanner. This could be a very very good thing. I would rather have 2 backs instead of three and discombobulate the offense.

Tanner reminds of a much younger and better version of Barber.
I loved watching him run to close the game out in the 4th.

hate to say it on choice
everyone had high hope for the kid just allittle while back it seem that all the times hes been overlooked and set aside might have gotten to his head. He sure isnt what has shown up for us in the past anymore
yeah, I'm with ya on that
Looked good early, helped us out, the works, then the way it panned out, the play, the siutation, everything coming togehter, who knows how that blended together to bringthis whole sitution about. Frankly, still hope the guy gets a decent change of scenery that does him good and if he playes well for someone else, so be it, good. So long as it doesn’t come back to haunt us, which is unlikely, but possible.

Just having some fun with it, it being Cowboys/Eagles, the FPer panel’s unanimous selection, the whole idea of a Cowboys fan going against the grain on this one (though, if a guy’s out for the difference, the pick one up and risk dropping one, you know the game picking pool). Not that I disagree.
It is a long season and injuries do happen. Do you think they might be keeping Bueller and Choice just in case of injury. Nothing to back up that idea, just a thought.
NFL.com has a story about Jerry being asked about Choice's injury...
Apparently, Jerry seemed disinterested. There is also a rumor floating around about Jerry not wanting to pay players injury settlements. If JG wants to cut him and the rumor is true, that could be what is holding things up.
"[Sean] Lee has more value now...than our entire 2010 draft"--- An Eagles' fan.
That's allegedly the reason for keeping Beuhler.
I’m not sure that I buy that. Remember, this is the team that paid Laurent Robinson a year’s salary for three day’s work. Obviously, things have worked out a little better than anticipated on that front (to date), but I don’t know as Jerry Jones is so worried about cutting injured players for that reason.
Does the injury settlement count against the salary cap?

Is blitz pickup. Choice wasn’t stellar at it either, so we’ll see if my concerns have merit.

i get the feeling if tanner gets 8-10 carries and choice is out, choice's spot might be gone....
they are not giving demarco 25 carries again. so if choice is out, i can see a 17-8 split in carries for murray and tanner. and from what i seen, the philly LBs don’t want not a nare nuttin of tackling tanner….
