Tonight, at least so far, I'm a DeMarco Murray fan. Call me what you want, but I am not a Cowboys fan right now. This is absolutely gutless football. Nobody besides Murray in a white uniform gives a crap at all as to what;s going on out there. It's embarrassing. I'm seriously considering taking a sick day tomorrow just so I don't have to justify it.
At least three times replays have shown defenders being hesitant on tackles. Halfway thru the 3rd quarter, after a touchback, Garrett called three straight passes.....behind the line of scrimmage. Gutless. Receivers aren't fighting for balls. Romo looks like he isn't trying. The front 7 on defense must be getting paid by Vick. Seriously? We can't stop this guy? The Eagles receivers have been wide open, and I mean WIDE OPEN all night. We can't stop the run, can't stop the pass.
The really bad part is that you know the Cowboys are capable. We have followed these players, and we know what they can do. So why is it that every once in a while they really just play like they could not care less about football.
Did they look past the eagles? Are they just happy with their paychecks? I don't know. But I'm sick to my stomach. This is not just a reactionary rant either. It's a realistic view from 15 years of the Cowboys sucking, when there have been at least a few years, including this year and last year, when they have all the pieces in place, and just don't play ball. Hopefully I feel differently in the morning.
