And my question is simple, does Lance have a point?
For a while I have thought Jerry Jones is simple a different train on the same track as Al Davis and if Al’s recent death shows anything, it’s that all the passion and desire to win in the world means nothing if as an owner you DON’T allow the people you hire the space to do their jobs.
You allow them the space to do what you thought they were good enough at to hire them in the first place and if they fail you fire them. If they succeed you praise them and not claim it is your success because you sign the checks.
Again last Sunday we get to see Jeff Lurie up in his luxury box watching his team kick our asses, another owner who has brought stability to the franchise not unlike Pittsburgh, New England or even the Giants who allows his coaches and front office to do their jobs and although he hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet his team is around the playoffs almost every year.
Andy Reid is one of only 5 coaches to win 100 games in a decade. Tom Landry is one of the others. Does anybody think Jerry would even employ a coach for 100 games or for that matter someone would stay as the coach for a 100 games.
For me the problem is more than just the right people. It seems that year after year we have talented squads and coaching that continue to be just mediocre and through all of this the one constant is Jerral Wayne Jones. Now Lance might need to up his bid a little but his tweet is correct!
