Cowboys-v-Redskins: My Prediction
This has all of the makings of a trap game from a fan's eye view. This is a game that the 'Boys know they want to win and win big. There is a lot of motivation for our 'Boys to show they are contenders. I look for a very great game and performance this week. I want to put my predictions for the out there and see how well I can call the game.
- DeMarco Murray rushes for 130+ yards and 2 TD's.
- Dez Bryant goes for 140 yards and 2 TD's
- Tony Romo has 4 TD passes on 25 for 30 passing
- DeMarcus Ware gets 2 sacks
- Orlando Scandrick gets 1 sack and 1 int.
- Frank Walker gets 1 int and 1 fight
- Terence Newman goes for 3 passes defended
- Sean Lee gets 5 tackles and 1 sack
- Jason Witten gets 100 yards and 1 TD
- John Phillips gets 60 yards and 1 TD
- Laurent Robinson has another 100 yard game, but no TD's this week.
- Danny McCray gets 1 sack
- Elam and Sensi go for 4 tackles apiece and 1 forced fumble. Not sure which gets the FF
Score: Dallas 52 to 3.
Dallas does not take this as a trap but a statement. They go all in.

well if you are going to make an insane prediction
at least spell the guys name right:
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah is the correct Spelling
Here’s a theoretical play from 2010: Snap. Tony takes 7 step drop. Tony looks left at Miles, who is doubled, and looks right to where Roy Williams should be…but instead sees Colombo on his back and a Defensive End foaming at the mouth jumping over Marc’s carcass. Tony proceeds to run like hell and look for Witten

Now, if somebody doesn’t agree with that, that’s cool. I also don’t agree with the fact that I don’t have $10 million in my bank account. But the fact that I don’t agree with it doesn’t make it any less true.

Well I do have basis for my perdiction to Phillips
i am looking at in redzone situations how Romo would go to Anthony Fasano at times when things were tight. He was an afterthought down in the redzone and considered a blocking tightend much like Phillips. They would send him out a couple of times in year in the redzone and Romo would connect. Sme Garrett calls, just a different 3rd tightend
Other than a wild ass guess, what is your thoughts with AOA perdiction.

I think the Redskins
will play all their QB’s on Sunday, one at a time naturally. Starting with you, Rex.
Kyle Kosier returns the opening kickoff for a TD
DeMarcus Ware gets a hit on Rex Grossman as he throws and the ball is met in the air with Sean Lee who clubs it right back into Ware’s arms, who sprints to the endzone for a TD on the ensuing Redskins drive.
Cowboys 62, Redskins 0
ESPN responds to this thumping with the following...
“The Redskins played a horrible game today and let a decent Dallas team go out there and look like the Saints/Packers/Patriots/Steelers/etc”
For the special children
It’s "Gentlemen, this is a football… " simple:
1. Any. Given. Sunday.
2. Every play is a “big” play.
3. There is no “easy” schedule, no “easy” game, no “easy” play. No givens.
And, most certainly, no “easy” win.
Cry 'Havoc!'
hey now..why ya gotta go and spoil all our daydreaming.....party pooper....

everyone been telling me all week at work that we going to roll over the skins....
I tell them I’m not taking them for granted…..one game at a time….anytime you play a divisional opponent or take someone for lesser than you, you stand the chance of being mightily upset at the results….

explain to me how the Skins will score more than 10 points
if we don’t turn the ball over to them on multiple occasions??
They scored all of 9 points against the Dolphins……THE DOLPHINS!!!!!
In Romo we Trust
Any combination of scoring plays totalling more than 10 points.
Point After (requires preceding TD) = 1pt
Safety = 2pts
FG = 3pts
TD = 6pts
Figure the combinations yourself. Putting your brain to work’ll do you good. It’s called “Thinking”.
It’s really quite simple. So simple a simpleton like me can do it. If I can do it, I know for a fact you can. Go ahead, give it a shot. You might like it.
Be warned, it does lead to thinking for yourself though.
Here’s a hint, it doesn’t even require us turning the ball over. Just them possessing it, at minimum, the same number of times as the number of combinations you come up with.
Asked and answered?
btw, neither they nor us are playing the Dolphins this Sunday.
Cry 'Havoc!'
That's all true
And very funny, but they did only score 9 against the Dolphins and NONE against the Bills. THE BILLS!!! I know of many ways that they can score 10 or more points, 2 TDs, 4 FGs, 5 Safeties or any combination there of. I just can’t imagine them doing it. Perhaps my imagination isn’t what it used to be.
1 Field goal
That is it, my call.
Now I will probably be way off. But this is a dream. But I will sat a dream that can be achieved.

Can't wait to see the followup post Monday, analyzing how close/far off you were.
Formerly Pineywoods - different name, same cockeyed view of the world.
Jason Garrett - Lord of Order
Rob Ryan - Lord of Chaos
Tom, Look forward to it
I went at this post with the idea of getting our fans excited about this game while having some fun. Now from a fan perceptive I put up a final score that was big. Most will look at the total predictions as over the top and yes it is with my final score. This year if you take out Greenbay and San Fran, we are only 2 games from being in the top teams in the NFL.
That being said, my final score is out there, but we just hung up 44 points on a good Bills team. They were no slackers. Outside of that if you take a look at my individual predictions outside of the final score, most will say any one could come true. Now my prediction for Walker of 1 int and 1 fight, I think will happen. That is a whole fanpost of why I think it will.
I have heard talk that this is a trap game. I see it like this. I feel the game against the Hawks was a need to win if we wanted to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. The Bills was a must win if we wanted to be taken serious. The next three games are statement games if we want to make a real run. IMHO none of the next three games are not traps, but games our Boys want to win and win big.
Now lets see how many of the stats I predict right. If I hit just one, I am going to be like a media analyst on TV and hang my hat on that and gloat for a week how I was right.

Dude, it's the Redskins
No matter how bad we or they suck in any given year, they (or we) usually play a pretty tightly contested game. It’s like the 2 games of each season played in a vacuum where nothing that came before it or after matter..
And I hope your prediction is dead on.
I started out with nothing and still have most of it left
I pray your prediction is accurate....
but it’s quiet….TOO quiet…
i’m fearing the ambush…when a team has nothing to lose that’s when they’re the most dangerous. I predict 17-13, Dallas.
so! jack.... what do ya think of the redskins......

ok!….so ! umm what about the eagles…?
the refs ?………
what about the lock-out ?……
any body ever tell you ..you look like a prune..with hair….. ?
woman !, don't try to understand em, don't try to make them understand you, for they are a breed apart ! lol
(redskins)= A Tale of 2 owners, bought by Snyder, OWNED by the COWBOYS
Id say RIP Al Davis, but i know your up there drunker than a monkey and clocking angels in the 40 yd dash.
In 101 regular season meetings
between Dallas and Washington, the most number of points scored by either franchise is 45, by Dallas in 1970.
Number times Dallas has scored over 40 against the Redskins: Five (1968, 1969, 1970, 1985, 1999).
Largest margin of Dallas victory against the Redskins: 35 in 1993 (38-3).
Predicting a 49-3 score is just wishful thinking.
Whats the deal with the Frank Walker fight?
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
"Meanwhile, like a bitter wine, Philadelphia’s jealousy fermented in the dark cellars of pride and resentment. With no playoff hopes of their own, Eagles fans turned towards hating the Cowboys." Steve Sabol, NFL films
Quite simple really
Prior hints aside, look to the “Read more” topic keywords just above the Comment section’s title, here and in the linked article. It’s yet another alluding to connections. Making the connection?
Plus there’s the scrappiness of the individual involved, his play in gametime circumstances and that all coinciding the poster’s expected nature of what our foe’s game tactics and emotional state on-field will be driven into being.
Personally, on the individual, yet another of the relatively unsung acquistions that’s fit in quite nicely and significantly in helping this team. In being a team-mate, a Cowboy.
Cry 'Havoc!'
my fav prediction was the walker 1 int & 1 fight
that would actually be hilarious if it came to fruition.
